With the goal, if not to return there, then at least take a breath of freedom and see life outside the walls of the monastery. The main thing is that he seems to foresee that for the joy of freedom he was released only two days. All the beauty surrounding him, he sees in this sad foreshortening - the first and last time. From this, all the sensations are unusually aggravated. Having seen the Caucasus in the distance, he recalls the house, family, aul, father and sisters in great detail. He does not regret at all the escape that brought him death, he only regrets that as a bad and weak race fell from a mighty horse that had flown home, and it became inaccessible to him. Mtsyri finds at a time when he is delirious, and to him from unbearable thirst it seems that he lies at the bottom of a beautiful, transparent stream. Confession ends with the request of the hero to transfer him to the garden, under the acacia, from where the Caucasus is visible. Looking at the mountains, the young man, in gratitude for the moments of freedom and happiness received, will die in harmony with the whole world, not cursing anyone.
