Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is one of the largest in Siberia training centers for law enforcement agencies. Here they teach cadets law enforcement activities, criminology, jurisprudence and other disciplines, conduct retraining of officers.

Historical reference

The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Omsk originates from the courses of the militia commandant, which was opened on 5.03.1920. A few years later, on their basis, the 2nd Omsk school of the average commander's staff of the militia administration of the RSFSR is being created.

In 1940, the institution was renamed into an inter-oblast police school. And in November 1949 - in the Omsk school commanding the militia of the MGB. A special date for the OA became 2.06.1965, when the USSR Council of Ministers, a specialized institution was reorganized into the Omsk Higher Police School. The status of the Academy was received on 4 February 2000.

Education

Today, the Omsk Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is implementing specialized programs on full-time correspondence courses. The main specialties:

  • Law enforcement activities.
  • Financial and credit activity.
  • Legal provision of national security.

There are 16 departments, where first-class teachers work: 25 doctors, professors, 165 candidates, associate professors. Honorary titles were awarded to 15 employees.

For 95 years, the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has trained over 65,000 professionals, more than 30,000 staff members have been retrained, upgrading their qualifications. Graduates work all over Russia and the CIS. Many became leading specialists, managers in the district, city, regional, regional departments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Part devoted her life to legal science. Among them there are fifty doctors, 500 candidates of sciences, 4 Heroes of Russia, 1 - Hero of the USSR.

The collective participates in the improvement of processes designed to improve education. OA became the first high school in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, organized the Olympiad of schoolchildren in the direction of social science and the history of the state "Code of Knowledge".

The average points for additional exams in 2016 for full-time education were 69.61 (in 2015 - 67.12, among the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - 67.64). By correspondence form of training, it was not possible to achieve the planned increase in this indicator. In 2016, the average score was 59.32 (in 2015 - 56.57).

Scientific research

Employees of the Academy are active participants in scientific forums. Annually conferences and seminars are held. Over the past three years, more than 180 scientific events have been held, 22 of which are of an international scale.

The Omsk Academy is developing student science. There are 16 scientific circles, 3 problem groups, a sociological laboratory, and the "Professional" club. They employ about 300 cadets.

Education of patriots

Moral education Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia pays special attention. Traditional ceremonial events, forums, concerts devoted to state and professional holidays. Acceptance of the oath is one of the outstanding events for cadets, future law enforcement advocates. The Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has modern material and scientific bases. Experienced operational practitioners are systematically involved in training. On the basis of completing organs are familiarization, profile and pre-diploma practice. In the university, the All-Russian competition of professional profession "Best in Profession" among employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is held.
