Applicants who decided to receive an education are annually considered by the higher educational institutions of Minsk. One of them is the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, named after Maxim Tank. The educational organization includes 10 faculties, 3 institutes. Historical information on the structural unit

As history shows, the higher educational institution in Minsk started functioning in 1914. It was a teacher's institute. A few years later the educational organization changed its name and was transformed into the faculty of the Belarusian State University. The created branch did not always work. Periodically, it was closed. The situation changed by the end of the 50's, when interest in specialists engaged in the upbringing of children increased (at that time the pedagogical university was no longer a faculty but an independent educational institution). The office was again open. It was part of the structural unit, specializing in pedagogy and methods of elementary education. In 1978 the department became an independent faculty of preschool education.

The faculty of preschool education was transformed into the faculty of pre-school education in 2003. Today, this structural unit is:

• 3 departments;
• 2 forms of training;
• More than 30 highly qualified teachers, among whom there are doctors of science, professors, associate professors.

In BSPU them. M. Tanka faculty of preschool education actively conducts scientific work. Employees carry out research on current topics and problems, develop manuals for students and specialists. In addition, the faculty regularly conducts scientific and practical conferences. In addition to scientific work, he is engaged in international activities. The faculty has established links with research institutes and educational institutions of several countries.

About the deans of the structural unit

The faculty of preschool education has rapidly developed and grown over the years. This was due to the fact that it was headed by specialists who were striving to achieve good results in their work:

• Nikolai Opimach (he was dean of the faculty from 1978 to 2003);
• Zhitko Irina (held the position until 2008);
• Voronetskaya Lyudmila (was the next dean and worked until 2013);
• Kasperovich Alexander (held the post until 2016);
• Antsypirovich Olga (is currently dean).

Departments of the faculty of preschool education

The faculty of pre-school education has in its composition several basic structural units (departments). Here is their list and brief information about them:

1. Department of preschool and general pedagogy. This is the oldest structural unit of the faculty. According to historical information, it was established in 1966. Its functioning is currently continuing. The department is working on improving the scientific, theoretical and professional training of future specialists in preschool education.
2. Department of General and Child Psychology. This structural unit was created in 1978. Currently she is engaged in research in the field of child psychology, studying the problems of modern preschool education.
3. Department of preschool education methods. She was opened in the faculty of preschool education in 1986. She leads her work in several directions. First, the department develops and implements new innovative technologies for the training of qualified specialists. Secondly, she develops curricula, model programs on methods of preschool education. Third, the department conducts scientific and practical conferences on topics related to pre-school education.

Proposed specialties

However, it is worth noting that people are accepted for bachelor studies only in one direction of preparation - "Pre-school education". Required exams

Successful passage of centralized testing (CT) in several subjects is a prerequisite for admission to the BSPU. M. Tank. The faculty of pre-school education requires applicants to obtain results in 3 subjects:

• Belarusian or Russian language (at the choice of the applicant);
• biology;
• History of Belarus.

For those people who enter the university with a diploma of secondary specialized education, slightly different conditions are set:

• Belarusian or Russian language is in the form of DH;
• The first profile test is pedagogy, the second is psychology (in BSPU examinations in these disciplines are surrendered orally).

Minimum scores and calculation of passing score

To submit documents to the university, you need to reach a minimum threshold based on the results of centralized testing. These are the rules for admission to existing faculties and specialties at the BSPU. The first profile subject, i.e. biology, needs to be given 15 points or more. For the second profile subject, the minimum allowable number of points is reduced by 5. This means that the history of Belarus needs to be given at least 10 points. These rules are established by the Ministry of Education of Belarus.

Persons entering the faculty of preschool education often ask questions about the passing score. This indicator is not set specifically by the university. It is formed after the completion of the document acceptance period. The passing score is determined by the number of allocated seats and the points of entrants.

How are passing scores formed at the BSPU? Here is an example. 30 budget places were set on the direction. Documents were received from 31 entrants. At 30 people the sum of points for all introductory tests was in the range from 190 to 220 points, and one person had only 170 points. 30 entrants with the maximum points were enrolled in the allocated places. Pass rate was equal to 190. A man with 170 points did not reach this value, so he could not arrive at a budget place.

Passing points in 2016 and the number of seats in 2017

Applicants entering the faculty of pre-school education are offered to review the passing scores of past years. As an example, we can mention 2016.

There are quite a few budget seats. In 2017, the faculty of pre-school education is ready to take on full-time education to receive free education of 150 people. Only 5 people can apply for payment. At the correspondence and correspondence courses, 70 budget places were allocated. On the terms of payment, 45 people are scheduled to receive correspondence courses, while 15 people are enrolled in correspondence courses.
