Effect of the drug

Anticoagulant direct action, affects the fibrin directly in the lumen of the damaged portion of the vessel. Activates precisely those substances that dilute blood. Anticoagulant function is performed by inhibiting the production of fibrin, a protein that is the basis of a thrombus.

The combined pharmacological agent contains, in addition to heparin, an anesthetic of benzocaine and benzyl nicotinate, which prevents the clumping of blood cells. Each of the components enhances the action of the other two. So, heparin does not allow to form a thrombus, destroys already existing blood clots in the damaged area of the vessel and eliminates the inflammatory process.

Benzocaine relieves the pain that occurs when the lumen of the vessel is blocked, and benzilnicotinate promotes a better absorption of heparin by expanding the walls of the vessel.

The drug is prescribed:

• With established thrombophlebitis of superficial veins, as a curative and preventive pharmaceutical agent;
• With phlebitis, which occurred after the use of injections and droppers;
• For the treatment of hemorrhoids external localization;
• At inflammatory processes of hemorrhoids at the giving birth to women;
• With trophic ulcers located on the lower leg;
• With hyperplasia of certain parts of the body (elephantiasis);
• With superficial pereflebit;
• With inflammation of the lymphatic vessels ;
• With superficial mastitis;
• For the removal of edema and resorption of infiltrates;
• With subcutaneous hematomas, resulting from injuries and bruises.

The drug is for external use. Apply a thin layer on the pathological area of the vessel. The expenditure of the ointment is calculated on the basis of the norm where 0.5-1 g of the agent falls on a skin area having a diameter of 3-5 cm.

Rub 2-3 times daily. The course of treatment is calculated for 3-7 days, depending on the stage of the disease. The doctor may recommend continuing the use of the drug for a while.

With the established diagnosis of thrombosis of hemorrhoids, located outside, they make a swab of coarse or linen cloth. The tampon is applied with an ointment and applied tightly to the inflamed node. It is recommended to fix it. Apply ointment to the place of thrombosed hemorrhoids need every day for 3-14 days, depending on the duration of the disease. To treat internal thrombosed hemorrhoids, the tampon should be soaked with ointment and inserted into the anus.

Heparin ointment in pregnancy

Research scientists have shown that the use of heparin ointment by pregnant women has no effect on the development of the fetus.

The course of treatment with the drug during pregnancy should be prescribed only by a doctor and under strict control. The dosage of heparin ointment is selected individually and depends on the weight of the future mother, on the day it is allowed to apply the ointment no more than 2 times.

Heparin ointment for children, as a rule, is not prescribed.
