Pedagogy is a whole set of sciences aimed at the education and upbringing of people of completely different ages. So, pedagogy of school and preschool ages, pedagogy of higher education, social, nursery and so on are distinguished. In view of the importance of this branch of knowledge, one must understand what the object, object, functions and tasks of pedagogy are.

So, the object of pedagogy is the processes that take place as society develops, which contribute to the formation and realization of man.

The subject of pedagogy is specifically education, which is a purposeful activity, organized in specially established for this institution.

In general, pedagogy considers and analyzes educational and educational processes, the interaction of pupils and teachers / teachers, methods for improving pedagogical activity, the trends in its development, and much more.

Pedagogy as a science realizes three major functions:

  1. General-theoretical. It is a study of the regularities of phenomena in pedagogy, the compilation of a theoretical basis on this basis, and, subsequently, the development of recommendations for the improvement of this field of knowledge.
  2. Prognostic, which presupposes the anticipation of the flow of various pedagogical processes.
  3. Technological function, which focuses on replenishing the theoretical base with various materials - monographs, books, as well as the introduction of new forms and methods of interaction between subjects in training and education.

We understood that they represent functions, objects, objects in pedagogy . And the tasks of pedagogy, which will be discussed below, are also necessary for understanding this science.

Each author has his own vision of pedagogy and its components. However, I want to consider such problems of pedagogy, which many actors in this field do not cause disagreements.

Firstly, it is the analysis and disclosure of the content of those stable, constantly repeating links that take place in the educational and upbringing processes.

Secondly, this research and development of new possible methods and methods of organizing educational activities.

Thirdly, it is the preparation of forecasts in the field of training.

Fourthly, this is the application of all the knowledge gained in practice.

Thus, it is obvious that the tasks of pedagogy are directly derived from the functions presented.

Among other things, it is necessary to highlight such a question as a pedagogical task. This, if you take into account one of the aspects considered by the authors, an idea of the future that the teacher sees and strives to realize. That is a kind of goal.

The pedagogical task can be classified according to certain characteristics:

  • On the extent in time - strategic, tactical, operational;
  • On the integrity of the pedagogical process - didactic, educational;
  • According to the technological approach - actually pedagogical and functional-pedagogical.

Summarizing, we should say that we examined the main components of this science: its object, functions, subject and tasks of pedagogy. Lighted each function in more detail. However, their appointment is obvious, since in any science they take place, but are viewed from different angles. It should also be remembered that the tasks of pedagogy and pedagogical tasks are not the same.

With pedagogy, we face throughout life, that is why the value of this science is not only for professionals in their field, but also for ordinary inhabitants - parents, students and all those people who are engaged in even a completely different activity.
