Short biography of the sportswoman

Venera Zaripova was born in the Tatar family in Tash-Kumyr, which was in the Osh region of the Kirghiz SSR, April 5, 1966. Children's years have passed quite uneasy. She was born the fifth in her big family. Difficult everyday conditions, father's reference for political reasons ... This also contributed to the formation of a solid sporting character of the future champion.

Immediately after the daughter was born, the father was exiled to the town of Uchkuduk (for a simple and banal reason at that time - a discrepancy with the views of the party). Meet with the family of his father, Venus was allowed only twice a month. When the daughter became a little older, the mother takes a fairly responsible decision - to move to her father in Uchkuduk, so that the family was together (fortunately, this was authorized by the authorities). 7 people, five of whom are children, lived in a one-room barracks. So the Zaripov family began to live in Uchkuduk. Mother gave her whole life to raise children, and her father had a hard time - he worked at a mine.

Training of Venus

Courageously overcoming all the difficulties that have fallen on their fate, the Zaripovs in every way tried not to prevent children from choosing their hobbies. After Venus was 5 years old, she began going to the ballet studio. After that, I decided to make the company my older sister, and began to study gymnastics. Everything started well, but, unfortunately, a few years later the mug of gymnastics was gone. The ballet studio, which formerly dealt with Venus, already did not exist either. Therefore, the talented girl decided to test her strength in the new music school, which opened in their hometown. Venus and here showed its best qualities: numerous letters, concerts. Teachers advised parents not to stop schooling, as the girl gave high hopes. Zaripov began to save money in every way for a very serious and expensive acquisition at that time - the piano.

The world of rhythmic gymnastics

But, as often happens in life, everything has radically changed the case. Uchkuduk was visited by Olga Vasilievna Tulubaeva. The woman immediately saw in the girl a huge opportunity, ability and a strong character. Olga Vassilyevna persuaded Venus to leave the music and test herself in rhythmic gymnastics. Before her and her parents was a very difficult choice. The heart prompted the girl, as it turned out, the right decision. Started day after day to linger in training Zaripov Venus. Gymnastics has become for her part of life. She did not imagine herself without this sport.

On the contrary, the parents were against this decision. They set their conditions: the daughter will be allowed to do gymnastics, unless she stops playing music. The little girl had nowhere to go, and she agreed. But often it turned out that the music lessons and training sessions with gymnastics coincided. Dad was always waiting for his daughter in the hall of the music school. Venus showed boldness and firmness of character here: she descended from the second floor of the school along the drainpipe and ran away from her father to the gym. Of course, she was punished, but only at first. After some time, the wise parents of Venus realized that their daughter was born the true character of the winner. For her, there are no obstacles and she will be able to conquer the peaks. They reconciled themselves with the choice of their daughter, and supported her.

Carier start

The first competitions in rhythmic gymnastics fell on the share of Venus when she turned 9 years old. They were held in Tashkent. There Venus gets acquainted with Irina Wiener. It was she who became the second mother for the girl and turned her Great gymnast. Irina Alexandrovna managed to tell the girl's parents that she has a great future, but in Uchkuduk she will not become a talent. The choice was again very difficult. When Venus was 14 years old, she was invited to the USSR team. This was the first time that an invitation was received by such a young athlete.

Venus Zaripova graduated from sports boarding in 1981, and the following year she was almost (without only one missing medal!) Absolute champion of the USSR. Awesome in this victory a lot. First, Zaripova at the time was only 16 years old. Fans of rhythmic gymnastics, and sports in general, it is known that this is a very young age for such significant achievements.
