Sensory development of young children. Exercises

When a person appears in the light, he already has formed sense organs. However, the kid still does not know how to use them. The sensory development of young children is aimed at teaching them to use organs to cognize the world around them. In the future, mental, physical, moral upbringing depends on how successfully this stage was passed.

Why is sensory development necessary?

It is aimed at forming a certain ability to perceive the world around us. To date, scientists have not been able to uncover the secret of development and improvement, the emergence of human abilities. However, the obtained data indicate that the human brain is used for a maximum of 20 percent. Each baby in its development can achieve high results, because sensory development is aimed not only at knowing the world, but also themselves. This leads to the development of not only creativity, but also allows you to think in the future unconventionally.

When do you start?

Most parents do not think about the fact that you can begin to engage with a child almost immediately after birth. And for older children there is such an excuse: they will work out in the garden, in the school. However, this approach is not true: at the age of up to three years the child receives a lot of information, which he easily assimilates and remembers. That is why it is worth starting the sensory development of young children.

Games and Exercises

Approximately from the year children can be taught to correlate objects, choose liners of a certain size and shape. By the third year they must perform assignments on the correlation of objects according to color characteristics, in magnitude.

1. Sensory development of young children by stringing rings of different diameters on a rod. The purpose of this exercise is to develop the ability to distinguish the size of objects, take it into account in the performance of actions, the formation of the ability to focus on words such as "small" - "big." For the game, pyramids, consisting of different sizes of rings, are suitable. First, the adult begins to disassemble the pyramid and show: here is a small ring, that's more. Then the adult collects the toy, also commenting on their actions. The duration of the lesson should not be more than five minutes.

2. "Balloons". The early childhood development groups that exist in various children's centers often use this exercise to form a skill to match the colors of different subjects.

It will require a cardboard strip with colored threads attached. The task of the child is to pick up the ball in accordance with the color of the thread.

3. "Funny shoelaces". Sensory development of young children is also to improve fine motor skills. For this purpose this exercise is quite suitable. First, the child looks at the colored shoelaces, identifies the color with the adult. Then they are inserted into special slits. For this you can use cardboard pictures with holes of suitable size or wooden toys (apple, cheese and others).

4. "Sensory path". The early development group often uses this exercise for tactile perception, to prevent flat feet and improve coordination of movements. For this purpose, bags with different filling (buttons, pebbles, buckwheat, sand and others) are put in a row at regular intervals from each other. Children need to walk around these "bumps".

There are many other games aimed at sensory development of the child. Which of them to use, each parent decides. However, the sequence and gradualness in the complexity of tasks are significant for both young children and for older children.
