Museum of military equipment in Arkhangelsk - private collection of Vadim Zadorozhny

Among the most famous antiquarians and collectors of modernity in Russia can be identified Vadim Zadorozhny, who opened in 2005 a unique private museum of military equipment in Arkhangelsk - one of the largest in Europe, which contains the richest collection of rare cars and military equipment. Museum of military equipment in Arkhangelsk has such exhibits as the first Yakovlev plane RRAIR-1 and the last of the surviving Yak-15. Also in the main building of the museum there is an exhibition of motorcycles of Soviet and German production. The Museum of Military Equipment in Arkhangelsk opened an exhibition of howitzers, tanks, mortars and rocket launcher systems on the alley with military equipment.

ZIS-115

ZIS-115 deserves special attention among the exhibits of the museum. For the first time it was released in the Soviet Union in 1948 - this is the first armored Soviet car. The safety of the car was achieved by installing armored glass and armored body protection. During the years 1948-1949. Armored vehicles ZIS-115 was produced 32 units, but to date there are only 8 preserved intact and safe copies.
