Hyundai

The founder of one of the most successful South Korean companies was born in 1915. A poor family could only afford a basic education, so at the age of sixteen, Chung Ju Yong worked where he could: he was a loader, then he traded in rice, and then he became an auto mechanic. By 1946, he had opened his own workshop. The name for it was the word "Hyundai", which in translation means "modernity". Soon Korean brand cars appeared on the market . Chon ruled the company with an iron hand: he was an extremely tough boss, did not allow dissatisfaction of employees. This allowed him to create a strong enterprise, consisting of several companies, each of which is managed by members of his family. As a result, to date his offspring goes to first place in many ratings. But his way started with the work of the loader! An additional step to success was cooperation with Ford, which lasted until the eighties. The following decade became special: the economic miracle of South Korea led to a sharp demand for cars, and the company's affairs went uphill with breathtaking speed. By the end of the eighties the company also introduced its own engine. The legendary model of the brand is "Coupe" - the first-ever cheap sports car.

KIA Motors

Korean cars of the brand "KIA Motors" are today world famous. But in fact once the firm was founded for the production of bicycle parts! This happened in 1944. After the Korean War , there was a shortage of vehicles in the country, and the company decided to start producing scooters, and then the range was replenished with trucks. Model "Titan E-2000" has become popular throughout the country. In 1974, the world saw the first passenger car "Kia". By the end of the seventies the company developed its own diesel engines. In the eighties, the assortment was greatly expanded, and in the nineties new plants began to open both in South Korea and abroad. All this led the company to modern success.

The history of the company begins in 1954. Machines produced in Korea made "Jeep" were produced in Seoul for American soldiers. After some time, the company moved to create its own models and expanded the range. In the postwar years, the demand for vehicles was great. Since 1983, a new phase of the company's history began: there was an absorption of "Geohwa Motors", after which the release of SUVs was opened. The company began to actively develop in this direction and is now known as one of the best in the production of parkets.

The history of the brand began in 1967 in Seoul. The name "Daewoo" means "Great Universe".
