How to prepare mackerel with currants. Unusual combination of fish and berries

In order to properly prepare mackerel, you need as much as possible to know about it. The main feature of this fish is that, even with a significant amount of subcutaneous fat, prolonged temperature treatment makes its meat somewhat dry. Therefore, sometimes it is prepared with products that can correct this deficiency. Not bad in this sense is combined mackerel with currants.

Fish with red currant

Baking with berries is a well-known technique. Culinary uses it to give the main product a tenderness and a special flavor. To prepare the dish for four people, you will need: 4 small mackerels (about a quarter kilogram each), 60 grams of currant red, 35 grams of olive oil, 3 medium cloves of garlic, salt, 4 thyme branches, 7-8 grams of sherry vinegar and a little bit Pepper and sour cream.

The dish is prepared in 20 minutes as follows:

  1. First you need to prepare all the products. Thyme and currants must be washed and dried, and crushed slightly with a knife. Heat the oven to 185 degrees.
  2. Wrap the parchment with parchment. Put on it a clean and dried paper towel, as well as pre-prepared components. Sprinkle everything with oil and send to the oven. After 5-6 minutes, the mackerel with currants will be ready.

For such a recipe you will need: 1 salted fish, a glass of black currant berries, 1 onion, a teaspoon of horseradish, 75 grams of sour cream, pepper, 4 grams of sugar and a bunch of dill.

Preparation is carried out in 3 stages:

  1. Preparation of fish. The mackerel must be cleaned of the viscera, cut the fillets and divide it into medium sized pieces.

The list of original components: 1 mackerel, a handful of red and a few berries of black currant, 5 leaves of horseradish (you can use leeks), ½ teaspoon black pepper, basil branch, 5 juniper berries, salt and a spoon of dry white wine.

Cooking should be like this:

  1. Leave the horseradish in boiling water for 40 minutes. Then put them on the net, put cold water on it, and then put it on a paper towel.
  2. Remove mackerel, fins and gills. Carcass slightly rubbed with salt.

When you choose a snack for a festive table, you always want to impress guests with something unusual. Take, for example, a combination of fresh currants and salted mackerel. At first glance this seems impossible. Each product individually is good in its own way, but it is difficult to present them together. It turns out, quite the contrary. We just need to think about how we will prepare mackerel with currants, and immediately there will be a suitable option. True, the original needs herring, but with mackerel is also good. For such a snack, you need: 1 salted fish, a bunch of dill, 200 grams of sour cream, a quarter of a head of purple onions, 6 grams of liquid honey, 200 grams of frozen black currant berries, ground pepper and a pair of green onion stalks.

Now you can start cooking. For this you need:

  1. Scoop on the fillet, then arbitrarily cut into small pieces.
  2. Prepare in a separate container a liquid base of sour cream, finely chopped greens, onions, honey and pepper. Then add the fish and berries and put in the refrigerator for 12 hours, tightly closing the lid.

The finished product can be served on a table in a salad bowl, decorated with greens, or smeared on pieces of black bread.

Worthy alternative

Baking fish is easy to produce with the help of aerogrill. This method allows you to make a real delicacy from any product. In order to prepare mackerel in this way, you will need additional ingredients: salt, onion, pepper, fragrant herbs, vegetable oil and lemon.

Cooking should be in this order:

  1. Cut the fish carcass, gut, cut off its head, and then rub it with cooked spices. Inside put slices of lemon.
  2. Prepared in this way mackerel coated on all sides with oil, wrapped in foil and set aside for 30 minutes for marinating.
  3. Then mackerel shift in aerogrill, heated to 230 degrees, and leave it for 20 minutes. As much as bake a carcass of fish, turning it to the other side.

This is how, with the help of a conventional kitchen appliance, you get a wonderful baked mackerel. With red currants, it will be even tastier.
