How to bake mackerel?

Then mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, fish seasoning and this sauce rub the fillets. Before baking mackerel, it should be infused in this mixture for about an hour.

Next to the chef stands the choice between the two most delicious cooking methods that can turn this dish into a real masterpiece. You can bake mackerel in foil. To do this, it is carefully wrapped and put on for 20 minutes in a preheated to 190 degree oven. At the same time, the fish will turn out to be greasy and very soft.

The second method involves the use of a grating. It is put on the upper holder of the oven, and then spread mackerel on it. For the draining fat, a conventional pan is placed down. To bake mackerel in this way, you need a temperature of 220 degrees. In this case, the fish should lie in the oven for about ten minutes, then it is turned over and kept in the oven for another ten minutes. Applying this method, you can get a well baked fish without excess fat. And when turning mackerel, you can once again lubricate the sauce, which will ensure a pleasant color and a ruddy crust.

Serve this fish both hot and cold. However, it should be borne in mind that mackerel has a different taste at different temperatures, which means that a suitable garnish or drink should be selected. For example, a warm fish goes well under vodka, and it is better to use chilled beer. At the same time, a cold dish can be used only as a snack, while a warm one can be used as a main course.
