How to make milk sugar?

Milk sugar is the sweetness of Soviet children, who were ready to give anything for it. Those times have long since passed, and the choice of sweets has become so huge that no one thinks about preparing a yummy at home.

Probably, each of us mum or grandmother cooked milk sugar. So why not try to make it yourself? It's simple and easy, but very tasty.

What do we need for the process of preparing this miracle delicacy?

  • Three glasses of sugar.
  • A glass of milk.
  • A tablespoon of butter.
  • Raisins and peanuts (or walnuts) - if desired.

The number of main ingredients (milk and sugar) can be changed, but compliance with the ratio 1: 3 should be mandatory.

Stages of preparation

In a pre-prepared and washed capacity, in which you are going to cook milk sugar, we place all the ingredients. For this purpose, a deep frying pan with a coating (non-stick) is suitable . Put the dishes on the stove for a small fire. Once the milk sugar begins to boil, reduce it and leave to cook the delicacy to the full. But at the same time do not forget to constantly interfere, so that our sweetness is not burnt.

Note that when preparing this yummy it is very important that the sugar does not dissolve completely, otherwise it will not be what you wanted at all. It must be crystals.

Now you need to check the readiness of milk sugar. To do this, you need to drop a little of the resulting mixture on a plate and after a while to see if it will drain with it or not. If it is frozen, then the boiled sugar is ready, if not, then it is necessary to cook more.

Then take a deep plate and grease it with a layer of butter. If you want your delicacy to look like a shop sherbet, then put roasted peanuts or raisins on its bottom (or both) and fill with boiled sugar. Everything, now it is necessary to wait, while it will cool down. The sweetness of Soviet children is ready. After cooling, gently prick the whole mass with a knife and cut it into pieces.

For fans of something unusual, you can prepare fruit sugar (the same boiled, but with the addition of fruit crusts).

To do this you will need:

  • A kilogram of granulated sugar.
  • Peel of an orange.
  • Half a glass of milk (you can take cream).

On an average fire, put a pan and pour a quarter cup of milk into it. Then pour the sugar and bring it to the boil. But do not forget to stir the mixture from time to time. We wait until all the liquid evaporates. Sugar should be friable.

At this time, cut a very finely washed orange peel. For this you can use kitchen scissors. After the sugar begins to brown, it is necessary to stir it continuously, so that its preparation is uniform. Then pour in it the remains of milk (about 3/4 glass) and put orange peel. Continue to cook the sugar before all the liquid evaporates.

After that, on a plate greased with vegetable oil, put the resulting mixture and let it cool. Then we cut it into pieces or just break it.
