In the summer, you always want to somehow refresh the body and drink something cool and tasty. Some choose compotes or drinks, while others prefer to use cold and sour kvass. It is a native Russian drink with a very rich history. He is one of the very first drinks in Russia, and since then has not completely lost his popularity. Many experts argued among themselves about whether kvass is useful, because it contains a small percentage of alcohol produced as a result of the fermentation of ingredients. What ingredients do we need to make a drink? Three tablespoons of dry powder, six tablespoons of sugar, a good quality yeast bundle, one tablespoon of leavened wort and several small pieces of rye bread. Ingredients are very simple, it remains only to learn how to make kvass from dry kvass.

Before preparing our drink, you need to make a leaven for it. A similar procedure is needed to make it really delicious and aromatic, otherwise it will smell like yeast and be absolutely tasteless. Therefore, we tell how to make a leaven for kvass.

All ingredients are designed to prepare three liters of a drink. For the leaven, carefully wash my three-liter jar and pour into it a glass of dry kvass. Fill it with three liters of boiling water and leave to stand.

After a few hours, add sugar, mix thoroughly and leave again for a couple of hours.

After a certain amount of time, you need to pour out a little of the liquid and dissolve a batch of yeast in the jar. When they completely dissolve, pour back the liquid and leave it for 15 hours.
