In such cases, the greenish discharge has a thick consistency, an acidic odor and is abundantly secreted from the vagina. Urgent drug treatment is needed, otherwise the risk of sexually transmitted diseases is significantly increased.

With inflammation of the fallopian tubes and the vagina, diseases such as salpingitis and adnexitis develop acutely, respectively. With these diagnoses, greenish discharge is odorless and mostly poor, but, in addition to discomfort in the lower abdomen, a patient with such symptoms may have a fever. In such cases, compulsory medical participation in therapy is required, self-medication is unacceptable.
