Floor boards: advantages, installation technology

The durability of the floor in the house depends on how its base is equipped. Currently, there are many new materials and technologies, but quite often use the classic way, laying floor lags.

Design

Lags are bars that are placed under the finishing floor. Before you mount the floor on the bars, you need to remove the layer of land with vegetation. After that, the base is compacted, gravel (40mm) is covered from above, then concrete is poured. It is necessary to lay a layer of waterproofing, and on top - a cement-concrete screed. Lags for the floor are located a short distance from each other.

The bars should have a length of at least 2 meters. If they are short, they are joined by butts. Lags for floor size have the following: their width Is 80-100 mm, and the thickness is 20-30 mm.

Bars can be stacked on concrete bricks. Also they are mounted, fastened with the help of anchors. The flatness of the laying of the bars is checked by a rod with a level.

Screws should be thicker than the lag, 2.5 times. In order to prevent the splitting of the tree, it is necessary to make a screw hole less by 2 cm.

Benefits:

  • Load on the floor with lags is distributed evenly;
  • Underground space, which has not less than 10 cm, is ventilated;
  • It is possible to arrange communications under the floor;
  • Ease of installation;
  • Durability of the structure;
  • Low cost.

Usually, the floor lag is made of softwoods of the second and third grade. All wooden bars are treated with an antiseptic. The undercoat must be cleaned of debris.

Flooring flooring steps

  1. Installation starts from the corner of the room.
  2. The first row of boards is attached to the wall.
  3. The second row is laid, displacing 2 lugs.
  4. The plinth is strengthened after all the boards have been laid.

Mounting the classic floor, the lags are laid necessarily. It should be noted that you can not save on the beams. In some places, where, for example, there will be a stove, the floor is additionally strengthened. The beams are isolated from the foundation by a ruberoid. Covering the rough floor, cover the insulation with a single piece. At present, there is a wide choice of materials for thermal insulation.

Floor leveling in old houses

Often the floors in old houses are uneven, with swings. It is difficult to regulate them, as it is not always possible to fill the screed on the base. In this case, adjust the floor bars. To do this, they screw in bolts. Usually on a two-meter lag you need 5 pieces. Beforehand calculate the distance between the bars and make the markup. Drill holes in the ceilings, level the lags according to the level and clog the dowel-nails. Then lay the finishing floor. Getting rid of the roughness, the wooden surface is scraped with sandpaper. Then polish fine-grained sandpaper. To do this, use a special grinding machine. To increase the life of the floor, it is protected with a special coating: parquet varnish, oil impregnation or wax mastic.

Tools for work:

  • Straightening ruler;
  • level;
  • saw;
  • hacksaw;
  • a hammer;
  • chisel;
  • Screwdriver;
  • wrench;
  • Cutting machine.

Conclusion

Many years of experience in construction showed that the tree is an ideal floor covering. Lags are an important element in the construction of the classical floor. With the help of the bars, a strong frame is created to smooth the surface.
