Equalizer for the floor. Preparation and consumption of the self-leveling mixture: technology

One of the important tasks in the repair is to fill the floor. The price for these services is 300 rubles per m 2 . This will determine the aesthetics and durability of the finish flooring. The need for alignment can arise not only with a complete reconstruction, but also in the process of simple repairs. There can be several solutions, but the most common is the installation of screeds using self-leveling mixtures.

Rough Leveler

The floor equalizer can be used to remove serious defects in the substrate, on which there are deep potholes and chips, and also cracks. In this case, sex can have a big difference in the differences. To do this, it is recommended to use a rough equalizer, which has the appearance of a dry mixture of large-fraction particles. For use, the composition must be combined with water. The pouring of the floor (the price for carrying out such services was mentioned above) is produced by a rather thick layer when using a rough leveler. Screed after drying does not crack and can withstand heavy loads.

The base component in such mixtures is most often cement, which makes it possible to obtain the necessary strength and adhesion to the surface. If the mixture is designed to form a 5-10-mm layer, then it should not be made more massive, since it can crack from loads. Before alignment, it is necessary to decide the number of layers. In the presence of dents with a depth of more than 10 mm, it is recommended to fill them in advance with special mixtures or a leveling compound. Only after it is recommended to fill the screed on the entire floor base.

Finishing alignment

Equalizer for the floor can be designed to form an absolutely smooth and even foundation. Therefore, before using such mixtures, the floor must be aligned with the base composition. It has smaller fractions, and when water is added it forms a plastic compound easily laid on the surface. Finishing rovings are more complex in composition than the above described, as they are subjected to more stringent aesthetic and practical requirements.

To the components in the manufacturing process, mineral polymer components are added, which allow to obtain a leveler with strength and high resistance to physical effects. The basic components in this case are most often gypsum and cement, which determine the main quality and potential of the future sex.

Preparation of the solution

If you decide to use the floor leveler for the work, you should become more familiar with the solution preparation technology. Once the surface preparation, marking and installation of the beacons have been completed, the surface can be primed. Then a solution is prepared, which requires a container of the required size. Pure water is poured into it, and then a dry leveler is poured in.

In the process, mix the solution, using a drill with a special nozzle. The tool should be set to low speed, in the process of this you will have to obtain a homogeneous mass without clots and lumps. The pricker for forming the base layer becomes thick, and excess water can cause the mixture to foam. From this, the mechanical strength of the composition will decrease, the material will separate after drying. Therefore, you must strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Application technology

Equalizer for the floor in the next stage is laid out on the base, distributed over the surface. If the solution is rather thick, then it will not flow well, so it should be spread manually using a spatula, rule or flat board. To get rid of air bubbles and interlayers, you should use a needle roller. The viability of the solution will be preserved for half an hour from the moment of preparation.

The markup used in the previous stage should be used in the role of technological zones when pouring. This approach is convenient if you have to work with an area of more than 20 m 2 . It is recommended to fill these areas in turn. The self-leveling floor mat is left to dry completely. In the room there should be no drafts, and if the air inside is too dry, then the floor surface should be covered with polyethylene.

Technology of using the final leveler

If it is necessary to obtain a perfectly smooth and smooth surface, then mixtures should be used for finishing the floor. There should not be too much difference in elevation on the draft substrate. The mixture is diluted to a more liquid state. For such an equalizer, a thorough primer is required, in some cases, waterproofing is required, which is important for a multi-storey house, when there is a risk of flooding neighbors from the bottom.

The substrate must be free of flaking elements of the finish coat, dirt and dust. For finishing alignment, beacons are not required, since the solution will spread itself. A self leveling floor self-leveling floor should have a layer of several millimeters, some solutions are designed to form a layer up to 3 cm. It is important to ensure appropriate conditions in the room, in which the temperature should not fall below + 10 °. Align the surface with a spatula or other tool.

Council of the master

The finishing floor should be poured into separate areas. The surface for this is preliminarily divided into zones, one of which you can pour in 15 minutes. In this case, it is necessary to fill in at a time, without forming technological interruptions. Only in this way you will achieve good quality and durability of the floor. It is important to avoid rapid drying of the mixture, since in this case, cracks or air bubbles can form on the surface.

The consumption and technical characteristics of the composition "Volma-Level Arena"

Mixtures "Volma" are on sale today in a large assortment. Among them you can find "Volma-Level Arena", which is a dry mixture based on high-quality cement, modifying additives and fractional natural fillers. The composition is high-strength, frost-resistant and non-shrinkable. It comes in 25 kilogram packages. With it, you can form a layer from 5 to 60 mm.

To prepare 1 kg of dry mixture will take about 0.2 liters of water. If there is a need to close all 25 kg at once, then add 5.75 liters of liquid. With a layer thickness of 10 mm, approximately 16 kg per 1 m 2 of surface will be required. Use the finished mixture for 60 minutes, and the air temperature can vary from +5 to +30 degrees. The surface can be used for pedestrian walking after casting after 24 hours at an average ambient temperature of + 20 ° during drying.

Preparation of "Volma-Level Arena"

Mixtures "Volma" should be used by a certain technology, which provides for proper preparation of the substrate and preparation of the mixture, as well as the procedure for carrying out the work. The surface must be cleaned of dirt, the base is treated with a primer, and then the floor level is indicated. In places where the base joins the walls, a pad of damping materials should be installed. The optimum area of pouring at one reception is from 20 to 25 m 2 . Water is poured into the container, followed by a dry mixture and mixed for 3 minutes with a professional mixer. The solution is allowed to stand for 5 minutes and is re-mixed.

The resulting solution should be used within an hour, and to accelerate the filling process it is recommended to prepare a solution of 2 bags, this requires a capacity of 90 liters. This self-leveling floor, the expense of which was mentioned above, should not be prepared in a concrete mixer. Among other things, the overdose of water should be avoided.

Technology

Once the mass has been prepared, it can be poured on the surface, excluding technological interruptions for more than 10 minutes. This will ensure the continuity of the filling process. While the mixture is leveled on the surface, the second portion of the formulation should be mixed. After pouring the solution, you need to get rid of the levels and remove the bubbles from the mass with the help of a construction mop. During hardening during the first two days, direct sunlight should be avoided and natural ventilation should be provided. It is forbidden to use heat guns. Laying of the coating on the leveled floor can be done 7 days after pouring. Residual humidity of the surface when laying subsequent materials should not be more than 1%.

Finishing leveler Bergauf "Boden-Leveler"

Finishing of the floor can be carried out with a Bergauf "Boden-Leveler" mixture. It is a composition for leveling the surface in rooms of different humidity of air. As a rough coat, the floor can be made (except gypsum), cement-sand screed, as well as reinforced concrete slabs and monolithic concrete. In the latter case, it is necessary first to repair the cracks. The mixture is gray, the maximum fraction of the constituents is 0.63 mm.

When laying a 10 mm layer, the flow rate is 16 kg per 1 m 2 . The viability of the mixture is maintained for 30 minutes in open containers. Partial load on the floor can be tolerated 8 hours after pouring. It is noteworthy that in three days you can lay the finishing floor. The product can be used without restrictions, but preliminary it is necessary to repair cracks and large defects of the base.

A razor for a wooden floor

Considering the ways of leveling the floor, you can pay attention to Neu auf Alt, which is a self-leveling mortar based on cement. It is designed to work with complex bases, including wooden ones. For one application, you can form a layer, the thickness of which will vary from 1 to 20 mm. For wood, the minimum thickness increases to 5 mm. The mixture is elastic, quickly hardens after pouring and can be applied to old tiles, paint and other coatings. This mixture is able to replace thick-layered expensive solutions like wood chipboards or bases based on cement and chips. With Neu auf Alt you can form a flat surface, which is suitable for subsequent work in the form of laying ceramic tiles or applying paint.

On the surface after 5 hours you can walk, and after 12 it is permissible to start the subsequent work. The leveling of the wooden floor can be carried out at a temperature of 5 to 30 °. The temperature resistance of the coating varies from 0 to 70 °. Among the ingredients you can find special cements, synthetic additives, quartz sand, antifoams and ingredients that contribute to cracking. If you will align the wooden floor with the described mixture, you will get an environmentally friendly surface that does not contain quartz flour.
