The form of this medication is round, flat, white or grayish-white tablets.

"Dopegit" contains in its composition methyldop, which does not affect the cardiac function. Its reception does not entail tachycardia, it does not reduce the blood flow in the kidneys. The manufacturer warns of a possible reduction in heart rate.

Method of using the drug "Dopegit"

Instructions for the use of the drug "Dopegit" does not recommend eating it with food. Tablets are best to drink before eating or after a while after it.

For adults, the dosage is in the first 2 days of the course on the first tablet of 250 mg. The number of medications taken per day is 2-3 times. After the first days of treatment, there should be a decrease, and if necessary, an increase in the daily dose, depending on how pronounced the therapeutic effect is. The dose to maintain physiological (normal) blood pressure is up to 2 g, the maximum possible dose is 3 g. For people with impaired renal function, the dose is adjusted.

Elderly, the amount of the drug is reduced to the 1st pill by 0.25 g. The day is allowed to take up to 2 times the prescribed dose. Dosage is always chosen by a doctor, but an independent definition of it with a high probability leads to a manifestation of side effects.

Indications for taking Dopegit

The medicine is used only for the treatment of hypertension. It can only be used after an accurate diagnosis.

Contraindications to the use of tablets "Dopegit"

- cirrhosis of the liver;

Hepatitis of the liver;

- hypersensitivity to the active substances of the drug;

- Depression;

- changes in liver function;

- pheochromocytoma;

- myocardial infarction (acute);

- hemolytic anemia ;

- Childhood up to 12 years.

- taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

The use of the drug "Dopegit" with breastfeeding and pregnancy

Before prescribing the "Dopegit" medication in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, a doctor should think about how justified this decision is. He must evaluate all risks and possible positive effects for the mother.

Reception of tablets "Dopegit" when breastfeeding is also not recommended.

Side effects with taking the medicine "Dopegit"

CNS, PNS: often arising drowsiness, weakness, headaches, dizziness, weak or transient psychosis, depressive state, nightmares. Symptoms associated with impaired cerebral circulation can rarely occur.

Cardiovascular system: increased angina, worsening of symptoms of heart failure (chronic), orthostatic hypotension, swelling in places, increase in weight, sometimes there may be disturbances in the myocardium and pericardium.

Digestion system: vomiting or nausea, increased gas formation (flatulence), colitis, inflammation of the salivary glands, damage to the tongue (ulcers, blackening), hepatitis. In addition, liver enzymes are released more actively.

Organs of hematopoiesis: anemia (hemolytic), leukopenia, suppression of some bone marrow functions, thrombocytopenia. Allergic reactions: fever, necrolysis (toxic epidermal), vasculitis. There may be nasal obstruction, an increase in residual nitrogen in the blood.
