Customs clearance of cars - a delicate matter

People who have had to import into Russia a car bought abroad know that customs clearance of cars is a very troublesome and expensive business. The position of our state, which tries to save the domestic automobile industry, is quite understandable. But it is not always clear why this should be done at the expense of its citizens.

But it's too early to rejoice, because that part of the amount, which is now not collected as customs duties, was replaced by our valiant officials with a recycling tax. This tax at the moment looks extremely incomprehensible, because the utilization in Russia is a very mysterious thing.

The car is issued only for a person who crosses the border and has a corresponding mark in the passport (this is important, without this mark, the customs clearance of the car is impossible).
