Visa-free entry for Russians is possible in many countries

Our citizens usually save. Therefore, going even to distant lands, not everyone book themselves tours in advance. And this is quite understandable, because even with all the discounts for early booking, "catching" a burning ticket is much more attractive at a price. But there is one limitation in this matter. Countries that need a visa are not suitable for such unexpected trips.

Are there many countries that provide visa-free travel for Russians? In the minds of the people, the notion that without a visa can be traveled only to Egypt and Turkey is firmly established. Of course, Egypt - a great place to relax, but in the summer there can be too hot, so you want diversity.

In addition to Egypt, there is another tourist country in Africa, where no visa is required. This, of course, Tunisia. In Africa, a few more countries do not require a visa from Russian citizens, but these are not tourist countries. Visa-free entry for Russians is provided to Zimbabwe, Kenya (a visa is required, but it is formalized at the border), Mozambique (a visa is required, but is placed on the border), Namibia, Tanzania, CAR and Ethiopia. And, if you can go to Egypt without a visa, only by limiting your travels to the Sinai Peninsula, then in these countries there is no such restriction.

Countries without a visa for Russia include an almost complete list of former Soviet republics. The only exception is the Baltics. Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia are still demonstratively not interested in cooperation with Russia.

But visa-free entry for Russians is open to Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Tajikistan. And also to Belarus, to Ukraine, to Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, all these countries, except Armenia and Azerbaijan, are allowed to enter an ordinary passport, which in official documents is called civil.

All these countries are interesting for visiting, but not all tourist infrastructure is sufficiently developed. Therefore, not everyone risks to plan a summer vacation in Georgia (especially if the political situation is aggravated) or in Armenia.

Surprisingly, but there are visa-free countries from Russia in Europe. Politicians are working hard to ensure that for travel to Europe in general there is no need for a visa. There are certain achievements in this matter, but for now it is still necessary to issue a visa for a trip to Europe.

In Europe, visa-free entry for Russians is open to Montenegro and Cyprus. However, for a trip to Cyprus, you must first issue a pre-visa through the Internet, and then get a stamp in the passport already on the border with the country.

Certainly, issuing a visa for a trip is a procedure that requires considerable time and money. Therefore, one can only welcome the agreements of politicians on visa-free visits to European countries. Already, work is under way in this direction.

Finland, for example, is extremely interested in allowing Russians to enter the country at least 36 hours without a visa. This privilege is wanted to provide passengers of the train, which goes from St. Petersburg to Helsinki.

It is possible that Finland will soon achieve such a regime, and this will be the first step on the road to a visa-free Europe.
