Climate of Vietnam: useful information for tourists

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam has a unique geographical position, namely: the country is so elongated in form that it covers several climatic zones at once.

The southern part of the state is located in a part where the tropical monsoon climate prevails, and the seasons are recognized depending on how much precipitation has fallen and in which direction the wind blows.

The climate of Vietnam is characterized by abundant tropical rains, which begin in May and end in October. The rest of the year in the south of the country is set a dry season. All twelve months the temperature of sea water in this part of Vietnam is kept at around + 26-28 degrees Celsius.

The climate of Vietnam, if we talk about its northern part, is changing somewhat. In this zone - a more pronounced transition from winter to spring and from summer to autumn. The north of Vietnam is in the tropical climatic zone. During the period from June to August, there are abundant showers, despite the fact that hot weather is set. At the same time, in winter, a large amount of precipitation falls in the northern provinces, and the air temperature decreases.

In the central regions of the country during the winter, the climate is milder than in the north of Vietnam, but at the same time it is somewhat colder here in the summer than in the southern part of the country.

The climate of Vietnam has another remarkable feature - a high level of humidity, so not every tourist feels comfortable here.

In the first two spring months in southern Vietnam, air temperature rises significantly, the sea becomes warm, and it can provide some relief from the heat. At the same time, at the beginning of May, the climate of Vietnam in this geographical point becomes different - there begin abundant tropical downpours, so there are not many people who want to rest here.

In the central provinces in spring, the air temperature is set, which ranges from +22 to +27 degrees Celsius, and rains periodically. In May, there is enough hot weather.

Spring in the north of the country is also very warm, but precipitation is much more.

Summer time in Vietnam for each geographical area is individual. In the south of the country, the air temperature reaches +33 degrees Celsius, and the rains are plentiful and regular. In the north of Vietnam in recent years in the summer months is more hot weather than in the south of the state, with showers here - not uncommon. In the central part of Vietnam in the summer is kept less dry weather, but in August there is a huge amount of precipitation. The water temperature in the country during this period is +29 degrees Celsius.

Autumn in the southern provinces of Vietnam again brings abundant rainfall, which fall, as a rule, in the afternoon. At the same time, the air and water temperatures are quite high. In addition, for this zone in the fall are characterized by storms.

Many Russian tourists consider Vietnam as the country for autumn vacation. The climate in November in the south of the country is characterized by a decrease in the amount of precipitation. Despite the fact that there is a high level of humidity, the beginning of the autumn is more easily tolerated than in Egypt and Turkey. The climate of Vietnam in September allows diving enthusiasts to explore the depths of the South China Sea, since this type of recreation in this country is considered one of the most accessible.

Winter in Vietnam is the optimal time for a beach holiday. The temperature of both air and water, allows you to sunbathe and enjoy bathing. The exception is northern and central Vietnam, where it is cooler due to the strong dampness.
