Monkey mask of paper

If you want to make a mask for your child in a kindergarten for a holiday, then you can make it out of paper. You will not spend much time and money. If you can not do this, then any thick paper will suit you, which you then need to colorize with pencils, markers or paints (gouache, watercolor or acrylic).

First draw a monkey face on the cardboard. As a template, you can use the photo shown above. First, cut out the silhouette of the muzzle from the dark brown cardboard. The edges of the future mask you can sweep to make them stronger. Then from the white felt cut out the face of the monkey and gently sew it to the brown part. Use a dark thread to mark the nose line as shown in the photo.

Then cut out two semicircles from sand felt felt and sew them to the ears. If you have a high-quality machine, you can embroider these semi-circles. Now it remains only to attach the elastic band to the mask. To make this kind of product, it's best to take a thick and tough felt.

How to make a mask of polymer clay and artificial fur?

The plastic mask of the monkey, made by yourself, is the most difficult variant of the embodiment of your idea. First, one piece will take two hundred to four hundred grams of clay. Secondly, the mask will have to be baked to make it flexible and durable. To dazzle the ears, make a flat oval from the clay and cut into two parts. Give the necessary form and tint. To create a muzzle, you need to make a papier-mache shape. The surface of the billet should be well polished, so that it would be easy then to detach the clay. Then take the clay sand color and roll it into a thin layer not more than four millimeters thick. Try to apply the layer as uniformly as possible on the mold.

Using a stack, draw wrinkles and mouth. Also at this stage, you can shade the product with a special powder for clay, dry pastels or eye shadows. After you have fully worked on facial expressions, the mask of the monkey should be placed in the oven or aerogrill. Bake it should be within thirty to forty minutes. While the mask of the monkey is baked, cut out a small strip of artificial fur. Then remove the mask and ears from the oven. Prepare the glue. Gently glue the fur to the ears and edges of the mask itself. To the fur, sew a rope. Done!
