Chicken in pots

For the hundredth time I was already convinced that cooking in pots is very convenient, the dishes are delicious, they just melt in the mouth. In addition, the process of preparation does not require constant monitoring. So today we will have a chicken in the pots.

For the paty dish, we need chicken meat (this is the choice for everyone, I prefer thighs, so I took 6 chicken thighs by the number of pots, you can use chicken wings or fillets), 6 medium potatoes (one potato per pot), 3 Large onions, sweet pepper, salt and spices to taste (I have a seasoning for chicken), 100 ml of cream (medium fatness - up to 22%), 50 grams of tomato sauce, 60 grams of butter, greens (better fennel and parsley).

To the chicken in the pot is not dried, it is necessary to pre-soak it in cold water for an hour. Next, rubbing the wounds with salt and spices. My potatoes are cleaned and cut into cubes. Onions finely shred. At the bottom of the pot we lay one thigh, cover with potatoes and onion, sprinkle with cream, lay pepper (cut it with straw) and butter, add a little water and tomato sauce, and close the lid. Similarly, we fill the remaining 5 pots. The main thing is do not pour a lot of water, otherwise it will turn out soup. The chicken in the pot is baked for about an hour and a half. Finished dish sprinkled with herbs. The table can be served directly in the pots, it is so delicious. You can additionally prepare a vegetable salad if desired. Similarly, you can cook chicken fillets in a pot.

In general, chicken refers to dietary meat. In its value, of course, it is inferior to turkey meat, but it is also a useful product. At least, the chicken for digestion is superior to beef and pork.

I want to offer another recipe - chicken in pots with vegetables. Ingredients I result in calculation on two portions. For cooking, we need 2 chicken hams, 2 eggplants, 1 medium carrot, medium onion, 2 tomatoes ripe, a bunch of any greens, green onions, tomato sauce, spices for chicken, salt and a pair of garlic cloves.

We divide the hams into small pieces (it is possible directly with the stone), the eggplant is peeled, cut into cubes. Carrots rub on a large grater, garlic and onions finely shred. All these vegetables and meat fry until half cooked on medium heat, pour tomato paste or sauce, salt and season with spices. Then we lay on pots, add a little boiled water and send to languish in the oven for an hour. Do not forget that the pot must be put in a cold oven so that there is not a sharp temperature drop. Tomatoes scalded with boiling water, remove peel and rub through a sieve. This tomato mixture is mixed with green onions and other herbs. 5 minutes prior to readiness we take pots and pour tomato mixture with herbs. That's all, the chicken with vegetables is ready. In this recipe, you can use any vegetables, it works well with a young squash and broccoli cabbage. You can use ordinary cabbage.

Chicken meat can also be replaced with another type, for example, pork or beef. I think that the fish should also taste delicious in pots, although it never cooked it in this way.

Culinary recipes in pots are good because you do not need to turn around for hours on the stove in anticipation of dinner, it's all simple - laid all the ingredients, poured a little water and sent it to the oven to bake. The main thing is to learn how to properly handle clay pots so that they do not crack. And the rest of the skill will come with time and accumulated experience.
