Kosher food and moral values

According to the requirements of morality, there are several rules that are imposed on the consumption of kosher food. The purpose of these rules is as follows:

• Reducing the number of animal killings for meat consumption to a minimum;
• Choosing the most humane, quick and painless methods of killing animals;
• Education in the coming generations of a complete aversion to bloodshed.

Kosher meat can be called as such only if its production is entirely consistent with the above principles. The manifestation of intentional cruelty towards living beings is forbidden by the holy book of the Jews. The same applies to killing, harassing, or hunting animals for fun.

According to the basic provisions set forth in the book of Halacha, all herbivores, whose meat is fit for human consumption, are originally kosher. The admission of any violent death of an animal or its wound itself does not correspond to the principles of kosher. On this basis, it is necessary to kill an animal very quickly, preferably with one precise stroke. It is also inadmissible to consume blood, as such acts are a manifestation of cruelty.

What are kosher products?

Understand what products are classified as kosher, not so difficult. So, a kosher store is a food point that is able to offer the consumer the widest possible range of useful, and most importantly, environmentally friendly products.

Many stores mark kosher goods with a special sign, which is a guarantee of high quality products. The cost of kosher food is an order of magnitude higher than the usual products familiar to everyone. However, this is not surprising, since the appropriation of the kosher sign by the product requires special certification, which in itself increases its cost.

The presence of such marks on foodstuffs means their production in environmentally safe conditions in compliance with all rules and provisions of the Holy Scripture. This, in turn, allows consumers to drop all doubts about the high quality of the products offered, its utility and purity.

Kosher meat

Kosher is meat obtained from ruminant, herbivorous animals that live on land and have bifurcated hoofs. In the sacred tracts of the Jews, other kosher animals are also indicated, which differ only in one significant enough sign for free consumption for food. This includes camels, rabbits and damans - herbivorous animals that do not have bifurcated hooves, or pigs that meet the last requirement, but do not chew grass.

To be on the list of products allowed for consumption, even kosher sausage should be produced in the absence of blood. Moreover, it is forbidden to consume eggs in which the presence of blood clots is noted.

If we talk about the consumption of poultry meat, then the list of unlawful gets almost all the game and predators. Thus, only domestic poultry is classified as kosher.

As for fish, the creatures that have fins and scales differ in kosher. Other representatives of the water depth, for example, crustaceans, eels, oysters, amphibians or octopuses, should not be used for food.

Milk products

Dairy products are also included in the list of mandatory products, which should have a real kosher store. This is, first of all, the milk of kosher animals. Admissible is the consumption of derived products derived from kosher animal milk and meeting high quality and environmental safety requirements.
