Sea fish as a whole is an excellent and very useful product for the health of the human body.   1. We put in a large saucepan (for the carcasses to fit) to boil the water. Prepared fish is released from the entrails (if there are any in the product purchased in the supermarket), you can immediately cut into large enough portioned chunks.
  2. In the boiled water, add sugar and salt equally (roughly a large spoonful of both ingredients per half liter of water), a bay leaf. Tip: if you limit the use of salt, you can enter it less, or even do not add it.
  3. We fasten the fire and put it in a container with boiling water mackerel, bring it back to a boil, cook for a few minutes and turn it off. Moreover, excess fats will go to the broth (by the way, it can also be used additionally - in no case do not pour out), and boiled mackerel will turn out to be quite dietary.
  4. Ready-made food will be more delicious if it is poured with lemon juice. The same procedure will facilitate the digestion of the protein. And to appetizing fish you can serve a side dish or a salad.

This method of cooking, as you guessed it, is not the only way. You can do it differently, but it's also very tasty. For example, a fish with spices, herbs, lemon and onions - just lick your fingers! We will need: three carcasses of mackerel, one lemon, sweet pepper peas, bay leaf, salt and a mixture of Italian herbs (you can take any).

How to do?

  1. First of all, the carcass is thawed. And it is best to do this slowly, naturally: move the fish from the freezer to the bottom of the refrigerator, let it thaw for several hours. For cooking we use only high-quality mackerel: without yellowness, dense.
  2. Defrost the carcass, clean and cut off the head, and then gut. It would be good to cut off the tail and fins, and then thoroughly rinse.
  3. How is boiled mackerel cooked? Recipes of cooking will amaze with its simplicity. With the onion, we remove the husks, leaving one of its lower layers (when cooking it will give a golden color). And each of the bulbs is cut in addition into several parts.
  4. In the pan we put onions, lemon, also cut into pieces, laurel, all flooded with water, bring to a boiling state. When it boils, add salt and peas of sweet-scented pepper (handful), dried herbs. If the carcasses of fish are large, then you can cut them into portions portionwise. We put the mackerel in boiling water with seasonings, bring it back to a boil, then turn down the fire. Next, cook it until cooked on low heat (about 10-15 minutes).
  5. Boiled mackerel is ready, we take it from the broth, let it flow and serve in a hot (it is possible and in a cold) form. Bouillon, by the way, can be left for fish soup (soup). In appearance such a fish, maybe, does not look very presentable, but it is very tasty and useful. And add a dish of tartar sauce or mayonnaise, we serve boiled potatoes or rice with vegetables for garnish.

Good are basil and thyme with oregano (several pinch of the mixture will be enough). Then we prepare the prepared mackerel in a steamer and cook for half an hour.
