Banya stove with your own hands. How to install a sauna stove with your own hands

If you are thinking about building a bathhouse on your countryside site, you are on the right track. After all, with frequent effects of its beneficial properties, immunity is significantly strengthened, mood is elevated, and the whole organism is healed. However, in order for the bath to really produce a result, in the early stages one should take care of the design and location of the sauna oven. After all, if it is placed incorrectly, the maximum air temperature will be no more than 80 degrees Celsius. So, let's look at how the sauna stove is done by one's own hands.

Drawings - this is the first step, on the correctness of which will depend on the entire characteristics and design of the room. However, even before drawing up a drawing, you need to determine which type of boiler you will use. Below we will consider several types of these devices and note their features.

Varieties

At the moment there are two main types of sauna stoves:

  • With an open stove.
  • With a closed stove.

Devices with an open stove

Such type of heating tools is used in those cases when it becomes necessary to heat a room for several people. Due to its special design, the oven with an open stove can quickly heat up the steam room to a mark of more than 100 degrees Celsius. However, at the same time, because of the high concentration of water, it cools very quickly. Therefore, it can be applied no more than once a day.

In this case, the stones in such a stove are laid in bulk on the firebox. And in order to quickly cool the device and at the same time had a good heat transfer, after each treatment of stones with water should be carefully covered with a screen cover.

The construction of this heating tool also includes a chimney, which is often made of a 1.5-mm layer of tin. In this case, the lower branch pipe (if it is a homemade oven) can be made from a normal water pipe 15 cm wide. The length of this device should be about 150 centimeters. In addition, the valve is additionally fitted with a damper.

Thus, the design of the open flap furnace includes not only a container for loading a certain type of fuel, but also a pipe along with the stones. By the way, stones need to use only a special type, designed specifically for use in such conditions. Use a conventional cinder block or brick is simply unreasonable, since they do not have good heat dissipation and very quickly cool down. Therefore, stones should be bought only those that are specific to the bath. To spread them into the oven it is necessary as follows: from the bottom to put wider stones in size, and from above to pour small. Thus, you will perform the most effective heat transfer of the furnace, which means the steam room will be heated in minutes. In brick sauna furnaces should be placed to about 100 kilograms of stones, while the temperature of the upper (respectively, the smallest layer) should be at least 300-350 degrees Celsius.

Safety regulations

Of course, the stones warmed to the limit are a little alarming - but will not the wooden bath light up at this temperature? As practice shows, this does not happen. But if you want to make your sauna more fireproof, you can install an additional layer of asbestos cement thermal insulation. It is conducted exclusively on the ceiling. In this case, the chimney is displayed 50-60 centimeters above the ridge of the bath room. Above the pipe, an additional protective cap must be installed, which will prevent the entry of various precipitations into the system. From the bottom, the end of the chimney can be closed with a tin cap.

Stove with a closed stove

The design of this furnace basically does not differ from the above-described option. The only differences are the availability of a special niche for loading glowing stones. And in order for the formed steam to come out, a special door is also mounted on such a device, which is placed on one level with the top layer of small stones. When the sauna stove works, smoke gradually drifts out of the pipe, and vapors leak from the surface of the fueled water through the door. After it is turned off, the heat will remain in the bath for about another couple of days. Of course, you can not use this stove the next day (you have to wait until it cools down).

In principle, the most suitable option for a home bath is the installation of a device with an open stove. But since their design has so many similar parts, the installation instructions given below will be suitable for stoves with both open and closed stoves.

The stove with the closed heater, as a rule, can be either long (constant), or periodic action.

So, how is the bath oven made by yourself?

First, we need to prepare a set of tools and devices with which we will install this furnace. In the course of the work we will need:

  1. Cement.
  2. Sand.
  3. Gravel for building a foundation.
  4. Bricks.
  5. Clay to produce a solution.
  6. Waterproofing elements, such as tar and ruberoid.
  7. Capacity for the solution (if it is a bath oven with a tank).
  8. Squares, doors and other structural details.

All the other tools we will mention in the course of our story (as a rule, there are such devices almost everyone in the garage or at the dacha).

How to install a brick oven? First, before installing, you need to determine the location where this device will stand. Usually a gas bath oven is installed in a corner of the room. This will save considerable space and make the device more convenient to use. Agree, it is unpleasant every time to bypass the hot stone with a stone, if it is placed in the center, to 350 degrees Celsius. Although, undoubtedly, the level of heat transfer in this case is more even.

If it is a brick sauna stove, built with your own hands, handle it carefully and it is desirable to think in advance of its future design. By the way, the foundation for this tool should be done separately from the foundation of the bath itself. To do this, dig a foundation pit below the freezing boundary of the earth (approximately 80-90 centimeters deep) and cover its bottom with a wet sand layer of 15 centimeters. After this, broken brick and stones (not bathing) are filled in the same pit. All this should cover the foundation pit for another 20 centimeters up. Well, at the final stage, all this is covered with a layer of rubble. After the formwork is made, the area and dimensions of the future used furnace are limited using a reinforced frame, and all this is poured with concrete. All, after 3 days (until the cement solidifies), our foundation will be ready for use.

But do not think that at this stage the sauna stove has been successfully installed by oneself. There are a lot of other things to do. First you need to remove the formwork, and while the concrete will dry up, you can go to the store and purchase additional building materials as needed. After the foundation is hardened, it is then treated with a layer of roofing material and tar, after which the remaining gaps between the ground and concrete are covered with gravel or with large sand.

Now a sandy-clay mortar is mixed to lay bricks. Clay with water must be combined by mixing both substances in one container, gradually adding sand to it in a ratio of 1 to 1. The finished mixture should be uniform and resemble a light gray color. In terms of consistency, this substance is similar to sour cream.

Installing a sauna oven with your own hands - laying bricks

And now begins the most interesting - the process of laying bricks. First, perinna masonry (for waterproofing gasket), then secondary according to the standard scheme taking into account the right angles. Approximately on the third row, it is necessary to leave a place for the podduval and strengthen it with steel strips. The next row puts a well for the grate. But that is not all. Approximately on the 7th row, the door for the firebox ends, along with the well itself. On the 14th layer of bricks, a hot water tank is placed, on the 23rd - the installation of the pipe begins.

At the final stage, the external appearance of the resulting device is finished - the brick wall is plastered with the addition of a small layer of asbestos.
