We make parrot from plastic bottles

Indeed, the imagination of people creating hand-made articles from improvised materials is boundless. It seemed, where already further? It is simply impossible to come up with something new, all ideas have long been realized. But no, the cute man-made products of skilled craftsmen continue to amaze and please us. Have you ever seen a parrot made of plastic bottles? No? Then let's try to make it together.

Procurement of materials

In addition to the main material, to create a parrot from plastic bottles we will need: quality glue, needles with threads and acrylic paints. The body of a bird can be easily cut from a foam, sometimes it is made from a five-liter plastic can, more often the same bottles are used. It all depends on what size you want to see the future handsome. However, let's agree as follows. Since we decided that we will have a "parrot" craft from plastic bottles, then we will stick to the latter option.

We make the parrot's body

For reasons of beauty, we take a bottle with a "waist", narrowed in the upper part, the lower one will serve as a torso for the bird, the upper one as a head. Next we make blanks of feathers, small in size, and also wings and tail - much longer in size. It will be more correct if they are immediately dyed in different colors and allowed to dry, so that you do not get dirty once again.

Then, using a needle and thread alternately, each feather is sewn to the wings, alternating with each other colors. You can, of course, first make cuts on them and gradually insert into each of them a feather, but still it will be more reliable to fix the plumage of the parrot with threads. Further on the sides and behind the trunk, in the same incisions, we insert ready wings and tail. No less accurately around the whole body we fix the "feathers", so that our friend looks a bit ruffled, and we build paws. So, half the work is done, the bottom of the parrot is made of plastic bottles.

Master the head of the parrot

We proceed to the main part of our work - the head of the parrot, because it will complete the entire appearance of this bird.

To design the beak on the bottle, you need to make a semicircular cut. Then from another suitable container carefully cut out the circular sector and paint with black acrylic paint. After it dries, the future beak is bent and inserted into that workpiece. Then you can show originality by building a palm-like likeness on the bottle neck. To do this, cut thin strips, paint them in green, and put them in a place where the bottle should have a cork. We make a cheerful crest, add a "couple strokes" to the plumage of the head, draw or glue the nose and eyes, you can small buttons to look more natural. Everything, the main part of the work is finished.

To give shine to the colors and to make our parrot shine and shine in the sun, you can apply a layer of colorless varnish on it. And that it was stable and not "flew away", in the very capacity of the bottle you need to pour a handful of small pebbles.
