The famous writer Andrei Platonovich Platonov was born in Voronezh on August 20, 1899 (traditionally his birthday is celebrated on September 1 according to a new style). Platonov is a pseudonym formed on behalf of the father, and the real name of the writer is Clement.

Studies and civil war

In 1918, Platonov went to study at the Polytechnic Polytechnic of the city of Voronezh, where he studies with great pleasure, since from childhood he has been craving for mechanisms. However, because of the revolution, his studies dragged on until 1921. A year after his arrival, Platonov volunteered for a civil war, where he fights on the side of the Red Army.

Even in such a difficult war time, Platonov does not leave the creative path and works as a war correspondent. It was during this period that he began to become a true writer. Then, in 1946, he was demobilized and immersed himself in his writings. During this period, he publishes three of his collections and one of his most famous stories - "Return". However, the criticism again falls on the writer, and again his works cease to be printed.

Platonov spent the last years of his life in a state of extreme poverty. From desperation writer refers to the publication of Russian and Bashkir folk tales. It helps at least somehow make ends meet.

Fate

Andrei Platonov, whose brief biography - a testament to the many trials that have been carried through, nevertheless never changed to himself. Despite the difficult fate and persecution of the authorities, his views remained unchanged. The black period of the writer's life began from the moment when he published a novel "Vprok" from under his pen, in which he exposed the collective farm construction. Alexander Fadeev, being the editor-in-chief of the magazine Krasnaya Nov, took a risk and published this work. The story fell into the hands of Stalin and caused a negative reaction. Fadeev, realizing what he was threatening, quickly changed his point of view and wrote an exposing article in which Andrei Platonov was presented as the enemy of the people. The biography of the writer is filled with many secrets, which began to clear up after his death.

From the revelations of contemporaries it is clear that it was Fadeyev who was the one who derailed Platonov's whole life. It was he who missed the article with such compromising content in print. In addition, Fadeev stressed all the places that could later lead to the wrath of Stalin, allegedly to be removed from the printing house. However, everything turned out quite the contrary. When printing the journal, all stressed thoughts were highlighted in bold type and in this form were put on the table by Stalin. The reaction was immediate. Fadeev managed to stay in place, but for prints, the writer Andrei Platonov ceased to exist. A brief biography tells that the writer himself was not touched, but he was sent to the camps of his only and beloved son for anti-Soviet agitation. Freed only with the help of some influential friends of the family, Plato finally returned home, unfortunately, already deadly tuberculosis. He died in his father's arms.

It is believed that it was from his son that Platonov contracted a fatal lung disease. This happened because the writer, as if in some delirium, kissed the boy on the lips.

In 1951, in Moscow, Andrei Platonov died. For a long time after the death of the writer, his beloved wife did her best to preserve the legacy left by him during his lifetime. It is thanks to her that we have become available to some of the works. After the death of the spouse, all the worries fell on the shoulders of Maria's daughter Platonov. She adequately coped with the hard task set before her and saved all the priceless works of the author.

The writer, his wife, son and daughter, who died in 2005, are very close, under one monument.
