Not knowing the whole state of affairs, Petruccio, without hesitation, goes to get married to the Baptiste. It was at this point that Hortensio realizes how stupid his joke was. He begins to dissuade his friend, explaining that Katarina is too complex. But this does not stop Petruccio and he enters the sisters' home as a music teacher.
