ZIL 4112 is a car for Putin

Already for more than two decades the presidents of Russia have been traveling in foreign-made limousines, which has caused some discontent among many citizens. Therefore, a few years ago the question was raised about the creation of a new domestic limousine. Soon there was a competition for the best design of the car. His winner was Svyatoslav Sahakyan. ZIL 4112 - this is the name of this car. At the moment, several copies have already been issued for the president, and photos of ZIL 4112R are actively discussed on the Internet. Photo novelties speak of a prestigious car, which is really worthy of transporting the President of Russia. The new limousine combined all the qualities and comfort of American technology. Its design really reminds some American car: a massive grille, rectangular headlights and a long body. To date, there has not been a final decision on the future fate of the limousine. Whether he will transport the president or not, is still a mystery.

What updates were made?

The developers of the model tried to maximally improve ZIL, eliminating all the problems that were present in its Soviet version. First of all, the changes touched on technical characteristics. Now an injector engine has come to replace the carburettor . Its working volume remained the same - 7.7 liters. Engineers have increased the engine power by 85 horsepower - now it is as much as 400 "horses". The gearbox was developed by the American company Allison. Unlike its predecessor, which had a mechanical three-stage box, the novelty acquired a new, automatic five-speed transmission. Refreshed and the cooling system - now the novelty is capable not to overheat even at a 40-degree heat. The suspension of the car remained the same. The new ZIL 4112 has 6 doors. In this case, unlike the foreign "Rolls Royce" and "Mercedes", the middle doors in it can be opened.

The equipped weight of ZIL 4112 is 3,500 kilograms. At the same time, its maximum speed is 200 kilometers per hour. The machine is equipped with huge eighteen-inch wheels, on which special tires are installed.

Armored version

Also, the Likhachev Plant will produce an armored version of a limousine, whose weight is as much as 5 tons. Such an armored ZIL can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 13 seconds.

The interior of ZIL 4112 was designed like Pullman. This means that the seats in it are located opposite each other. The design of the luggage compartment was changed: if earlier only one diplomat could be placed there (all space was occupied by a spare wheel), now it is possible to place even several suitcases with papers there. This volume was achieved due to the movement of the reserve in the trunk floor. In the cabin there are special climate controllers - on the left side of the car you can set one temperature, and in the right - another (slightly incomprehensible adjustment). In general, everything is done for complete comfort.
