But shortly before the wedding, Fekla heard the sermon of the apostle Paul about Jesus Christ, after which she decided to devote her whole life to the service of the Lord. First, the mother of the girl, for disobeying her daughter, demanded that the ruler of the city die for her. Feklu wanted to burn at the stake, but the flame of fire did not touch her, and soon the rain completely extinguished him. Thanks to this miracle, Fekla left the city and joined the apostle Paul and his companions. Later, the first martyr was tied to two bulls, so that they tore her body apart, but strong ropes unexpectedly burst for all. Fekla was thrown at the brutal beasts that only licked her legs. The Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles never renounced faith in Jesus Christ and preached the gospel all her life.
