Marat Kazey - the feat of a young pioneer

If you consider all the pioneer heroes, then Marat Kazeyu was lucky, probably less than others. Soviet schoolchildren of the late Soviet Union sang indecent rhymes on the changes with a mention of his name. Of course, they did it for childish stupidity, and not because of oppositional views. Over time, some of the singers began to be ashamed of their actions, and the other part still sees this as a contribution to debunking the myths of war. But the boy's true story was much more dramatic than the one told about in the teacher's schools. This does not make Marat's feat less significant. On the contrary, the courage and selflessness of the boy cause even greater respect.

A family

Kazey Marat Ivanovich, whose feat will be described in this article, was born in the village of Stankovo (Belarus) in 1929. The boy's father was a convinced communist. In the past Ivan Kazey served in the Baltic Fleet. He named his son just in honor of the battleship, on which he was a sailor. And his daughter gave an unusual name - Ariadne, in honor of the main hero of the Greek myth he liked.

With Anna, mother of Marat, Ivan met in 1927, when he came for a visit. He fell in love with a girl without memory. A year later, the young man went to the beach and married a beautiful woman.

The arrest of his father

The activist and communist Ivan Kazey was an ardent Bolshevik, respected by his colleagues, taught in training courses for tractor drivers and headed a comrades' court. It all ended in 1935, when he was arrested for sabotage. The lying denunciation was anonymous. Apparently, the ideological Ivan, who did not take a penny of state money in his pocket, greatly irritated those who wanted to fill a pocket at the expense of the people's means. According to the verdict, he was exiled to the Far East and rehabilitated only in 1959, posthumously. Marat Kazey, whose feat will inspire fighters of the Soviet army, was at that time small and did not understand what was happening.

The arrest of the mother

After the exile, Ivan was dismissed from work, expelled from the institute and expelled from the apartment. She had to send her children to her relatives. And this was the right decision, since soon the woman was arrested for "Trotskyism". But Anna did not repeat the fate of her husband. She was released before the war.

The conclusion did not change the political views of a convinced communist. From the first days of the occupation, she actively cooperated with the Minsk underground. The history of the people who entered it was tragic. Due to lack of experience, they were quickly exposed and arrested by the Gestapo. Anna Kazey was hanged in Minsk with the underground workers.

Marat and Ariadne

The death of the mother served as a stimulus for Marat and Ariadne to fight actively against the fascists. In 1942 they joined the partisan detachment. The boy was 13 years old, and the girl just turned 16.

Marat Kazey, whose exploit is forever inscribed in the annals of the Patriotic War, became a scout. The boy skillfully penetrated the enemy garrisons, gaining valuable information. In battle, he was fearless. In 1943, being wounded, he repeatedly attacked the enemy. Also, the boy more than once participated in diversions at facilities that were of particular importance to the fascists.

Once Marat Kazey, whose feat is known throughout the world, rescued the partisan detachment named after Furmanov. Punishers took him in a ring near the village of Rumok, and only the young scout managed to break through the barrier and lead the rescue.

At the beginning of the winter of 1943, the partisan detachment, which included Marat and Ariadne, left the encirclement. The girl got a strong frostbite. To save her life, the doctors in the field conditions amputated Ariadne both legs. Then the plane took the girl to the deep rear, where the doctors managed to cure her. Marat remained at the front to take revenge for his mutilated sister, murdered mother and abused homeland ...

The Last Battle

In May 1944 Operation Bagration, which would free the Belarusian people from the German yoke, was in full swing. But the boy will not see it. On May 11 he will perish under the village of Khorometskoe. Marat and the squad commander were returning from the mission and stumbled upon the Germans. The commander was killed, the boy fired back, until the cartridges ran out. There was nowhere to go, besides, he was wounded. Then he took his last weapon - two grenades that hung on his belt, and when the Germans came very close, blew themselves up with the enemies.

People who came to the funeral of the young hero, carried placards with his photograph. On them was the inscription "Marat Kazey - pioneer". His exploits are still remembered by all residents of Stankovo - the village of the boy where the funeral took place.

  • The order of Lenin.
  • Medal of Honor".
  • Order of the Patriotic War (1st degree).
  • Medal "For Military Merit".

Conclusion

Now you know what a feat Marat Kazey accomplished. What was he thinking about at the last moment of his life? About how terrible it is to die young? That he will win by his death? Or that he will not see his family again?

Most likely, about all this at the same time. And it is more likely that Marat was moved by a fierce rage, multiplied by a desperate daring peculiar only to young fighters. Subconsciously, they understand that they have only to live until the moment when the Germans approach. And death itself is not terrible, because, as Gaidar wrote before the war, the enemies will still run, fearing the amazing people of this country with its invincible army and an unsolved military secret.

In 1965, Marat Kazey, whose feat will never forget, was awarded the title Hero of the USSR posthumously. In Minsk, he installed a monument.
