What to do when the first teeth of a child are cut
When the first teeth are cut, it is difficult to understand, because in all children they appear at different ages. As a rule, this event occurs in the period from 3 to 9 months. Do not worry if your child's teeth are too late. This is due to the characteristics of your baby, and with heredity, and, in particular, with his nutrition.
When the first teeth are cut, the symptoms on the face: in addition to the swollen gums and increased salivation, the child's appetite decreases drastically, he practically does not eat anything, he is often naughty, constantly asking for hands and requires a breast.
Sleep also noticeably worsens: frequent waking up day and night greatly disturbs both mother and baby. Often, children have high fever, symptoms of a cold (the nose is as if laid and a slight cough), a loose stool or, conversely, constipation. Some babies scratch their gums, bite everything that gets caught. Most of all they like to "try for the tooth" soft rubber oblong objects, for example the leg of their doll. You can instead give the child a solid green apple, drying or carrots. Also for these purposes, the industry has developed and produced many special toys that facilitate "sharpening of teeth." These include teethers, which are made of safe materials and pleasantly cool the baby's gums.
When the first teeth are cut, the baby can be helped by special gels for the gums: they alleviate painful symptoms and itching. The child calms down and sleeps soundly. However, it should be noted that not all children have improved their health after using such gels. In any case, now there are many medications that can help your baby when the first teeth are cut. To use them or not, it is up to Mom to decide, but nevertheless it is necessary to consult a child's expert watching the baby.
Do not forget, we were all once small and toothless, but we passed this process. At someone it lasted longer, and for some it remains unnoticed. Have patience, arm yourself with knowledge, and most importantly, with your mother's care - all this will definitely help your baby.
