The old concept

Most often used as a definition of the actual address of the company (in the absence of branches) or, as already said, the head office. But all this is not fixed at the legislative level. And since 2014, now you have to clearly understand what a legal address is. But the changes regarding registration and re-registration of this component entered into force in 2016. Modern interpretation

Since 2014, some changes have taken effect in Russia. They have made amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. From this period, the division of the organization's location and legal address began.

So, a location is an area in which a state enterprise or a PI is registered with an indication of the municipal entity (city) in which the organization is located in Russia. In fact, this term is called the registration region. And what is the legal address? The exact definition is still not given. But at the same time, the Civil Code of the Russian Federation specifies that the address of the legal type is the exact location of the place of communication with the head. This can be the home address or the location of the head office.

But there is a more simple formulation. The definition of the legal address at the moment is characterized by the data specified in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. So why understand the differences between these terms so clearly? In Russia, since 2016, the order of changing the legal address and location has been changed. Previously, there were no significant differences in these procedures. Therefore, it is worthwhile to clearly understand which procedure to prepare for.

The tax authorities verify the compliance of the actual location of the firm and its legal address. New rules - new features

Now a little about the procedure for registering and changing the legal address. Recently, as already mentioned, these procedures have changed a little. Order when changing the location

If the location of the company changes, how does the legal address change? The instruction can look like this:

1. First step. An application is made to change the legal address and certain documents are collected.
2. A state fee of certain sizes is paid.
3. All papers are provided to the tax authority at the location of the organization.
4. After a certain period of time, you can pick up the confirmation of changes in the EGRUL.
5. Second phase. In the Unified State Register of Legal Entities information on the change in the location of the corporation is entered. Since the decision is made, there should not be more than 3 working days.
6. The tax authority shall enter the relevant information on the basis of the adopted decision and transfer the specified information to the territorial tax authority where a new registration is planned.
7. In 20 days after the data transfer, it is required to collect a certain package of documents and contact them in the tax service in the new region.
8. The tax service verifies the reliability of the provided securities and information about the company.
9. If there are no complaints, the organization is registered at a new location. The procedure is allocated no more than 5 working days.

• Application of the standard form in the form of P 14001.
• Protocol on the decision.
