Surely many in the school did not really like this subject, as physical education. First of all, it is worth noting that fitness is not just exercise. This is a whole science, designed to form mechanisms of activity in humans and change the general state of the body. The word "fitness" comes from the English phrase "to be fit", which means "to be in shape." For many, such a concept means an active way of life, which includes not only sports, but also proper nutrition. The basis for the creation of this direction is knowledge from many areas: physics, psychology, anatomy. Fitness can give you a great mood and well-being. And, of course, it strengthens health, makes the body more hardy, and the body - in relief and beautiful.

The first fitness clubs arose in America. Now new clubs are opening all over the world. Such services are very in demand - people want to be healthy and fit. Therefore, adherents of fitness every year more and more.

What is fitness from a medical point of view

Modern medicine divides all existing exercises in fitness according to the principle of development of various physical qualities. Five groups are obtained. In them, each person will be able to find the type of physical activity that he needs.

  1. Power programs. These include those exercises and exercises that strengthen and develop muscles. They can be performed both under the weight of their own weight, and with the use of simulators, weights and so on. This is exactly what men do in gyms. But such physical exertion is also needed for the beautiful sex: they make the body elastic and seductive.
  2. Cardio. This is the so-called aerobic exercise, which improves cardiac activity, stimulates blood circulation and burning of fats. This includes running, walking, cycling, dancing, aerobics and swimming.
  3. Programs that develop the reaction rate. The question of what fitness is, would not be sufficiently disclosed without their description. This, for example, all the ball games. Perform such exercises quickly, in duration they are short. Dexterous movements will help not only on the dance, but also on a slippery road.
  4. Programs that develop flexibility. This includes various stretching, stretching exercises. They are especially popular among the fair sex, because women's muscles are inherently more elastic than men's.
  5. Programs aimed at developing balance, coordination of movements. An example is yoga, qigong, pilates.

It should be noted that in one program, you can develop qualities from several groups in parallel. Depending on what kind of result you want to achieve, the coach will form an individual lesson plan.

Recently there was such a thing as "fitness for the lazy". These are special simulators, which act in such a way that the human body is subjected to minimal loads. These include toned tables, vacuum simulators, vibroplatforms and so on. However, they are useful not for lazy people, but for those whose state of health does not allow them to receive loads in a regular fitness center.
