Making up the list of references: advice

When writing various works, all students and not only use various literary sources. In doing so, they must necessarily provide a reference to the book or scientific journal used. However, such reasoning is more than mistaken. After all, we need not only list all information sources, which, incidentally, include resources from the Internet, but to arrange everything competently.

Correct design of the list of literature implies full compliance with the requirements of GOST 7.1-2003. Therefore, this process can take a very long time. If there is no desire to execute the list of literature in the diploma at the last moment and lose precious hours on it, it is worthwhile to perform this work consistently, as new information is received.

It should be noted that each bibliographic source is made in different ways. Here everything will depend on its type and number of authors. If their number does not exceed three, then all co-authors are listed. If four or more, then only the first. In this case, it is worth noting that after the specified name, a comma must be put. If it is a question of the whole edition, then the total number of pages is necessarily indicated and a small letter "c" is put. If an excerpt from a document is given, it is sufficient to indicate the range. In this case, the symbol denoting the page numbers is already written with a capital letter and placed before the adjusted interval.

Separate attention deserves the design of a list of literature containing a link to online resources. Here, in addition to the above information, you must specify the access date. Therefore, deciding to use someone else's essay or thesis work, be sure to write down the number of people you received the information. Otherwise, the design of the list of literature will not meet regulatory requirements.
