We receive secondary specialized education

Until recently, the education system in our state had a single, understandable structure. There was compulsory education, a system of vocational schools and technical schools, higher educational institutions. Over the past one and a half to two decades, everything has changed significantly. There were lyceums, colleges, academies, universities, which had not been known before, while the usual schools and technical schools were preserved. How to understand this diversity? Which institutions guarantee a diploma of higher education, and in which you can get the necessary skills and pass the average vocational training? Let us dwell on the first stage and consider what constitutes a specialized secondary education.

Education is provided by educational institutions, more commonly known as colleges and technical schools (today they often act as lyceums and colleges). According to the existing provisions in the education system, these institutions are obliged to implement educational programs that provide a sufficient level of knowledge, professional skills and necessary working skills required by secondary specialized education.

In case of successful completion of the curriculum and work practice, graduates receive a diploma of the established standard, which confirms the level of education and the specialty of the graduate. If, for certain reasons, the student did not complete the training, but at the same time he studied for at least six months and successfully passed the final qualification for the work specialty, he can be given a certificate of qualification.

Get education of this type can any citizen of the country, subject to a number of conditions:
- a certificate of general compulsory secondary / full education or primary vocational;

- a certificate of secondary vocational or higher education (training in a shortened program).

The number of students in budget departments, who are trained free of charge by secondary specialized schools and provided with scholarships, is limited by the state quota. Out of competition can be credited:

- children left without parental care and orphans;

- Disabled I and II groups, as well as children with disabilities, if training in an institution of this type is not contraindicated to them;

- citizens of the country who have not reached the age of 20, who are dependent on the disabled parent of the non-working group, while the average monthly income of the family does not exceed the threshold of the subsistence minimum accepted in the country;

- other categories of citizens for whom an extraordinary enrollment is provided.

In addition, the winners of the All-Russian Olympiads in core subjects, servicemen who have served in urgent service, children of the military who died during operations against terrorism, and other categories of citizens whose list is approved by the current legislation of the country have the preemptive right of admission.

The state guarantee for the opportunity to get a secondary special education free of charge applies to applicants who receive this education for the first time in the performance of all the above conditions. However, if you want, you can get a profession on a paid basis.

At present, the popularity of working professions, and, consequently, of educational institutions, whose program allows to obtain secondary specialized education, has grown significantly. This is due to the increase and development of industry, large-scale construction (for example, Boguchanskaya HPP in the Krasnoyarsk Territory).

As the statistics says, the working specialties are now in high demand on the labor market. The most popular are the following areas:

- construction and metal working;

- Woodworking industry ;

- equipment adjustment and road construction;

- auto mechanics and plastering and painting, as well as finishing work.

Moreover, students who have received a secondary special education in 65% (!) Percent of cases successfully find employment in the first year after graduation and work in their specialty. More than 10% continue their studies in the country's universities.
