We make from paper an easy hand-crafted article. Simple paper crafts

Both boys and girls of any pre-school and junior school age are fond of designing. Cubes and designers, plasticine and paper - even the youngest children experience the craving for the creation of the same tower of cubes. Early studies of parents or educators with children directly affect the development of their abilities.

Design helps to form a figurative mindset, improves hand motility, broadens the horizon. At 3-4 years old the child is already able to make an easy paper craft from paper. He is able to fold paper, learn how to cut with scissors, create voluminous designs, paper crafts with his own hands. At the same time, accuracy and accuracy of movements develop.

The easiest way to take a child from a piece of paper, while not giving him a dangerous scissors or glue, is origami.

Acquaintance with origami

The first session of origami is best to start with creating the easiest paper craft, the child's hand should get used to working with this material. Start by getting acquainted with the simplest geometric figure - a square. Try to tell from the face of the square what you can do with it. In the game form, you can explain that he has sides and angles, and show the child how to find his center. Having learned to fold triangles, the child can show how to make a composition of them, folding, for example, a Christmas tree. From the folded rectangle, you can make a door that can be glued to an adult-prepared base in the form of a painted house.

Gradually, tasks can become more complicated. From the squares of different sizes, turned into triangles, the child can be suggested to fold the Christmas tree, expanding from the bottom. From a triangle and a rectangle, folded by a child, you can design a fungus. Patterns of hand-made paper from the type of origami can be found in special books. Below is a diagram of origami "Crane".

Origami for advanced masters

The art of origami is a suitable creative activity not only for children, but also for adults. It calms, creates a meditative mood, and allows you to eventually create a beautiful little thing yourself.

Modular origami is more difficult than primitive children's, but it also allows you to create not only simple paper crafts, but also more complex, voluminous compositions. Such creativity requires spatial imagination, perseverance and patience. The most popular direction of such origami is the creation of flowers. You can make a paper tulip, a rose and a primrose - they will turn out bright, bulky and elegant. In this kind of origami, paper not only holds itself by virtue of frictional force. The master can resort to the use of glue in order to fix together some details, especially when it comes to the manufacture of complex large structures.

Weaving from newspaper tubes

The art of weaving from newspaper tubes has been spread relatively recently, but handmade craftsmen already know how to create real masterpieces in this technique.

Any piece of paper begins with the process of twisting them into the tubes, which become the basis of the future product. Combining them in various ways, interweaving among themselves and decorating, you can make from paper an easy craft, for example a small basket, or you can have a beautiful wall panel.

To twist the tube, you will need a newspaper, a long spoke, a PVA glue, a clerical or kitchen sharp knife. The newspaper spread is folded lengthwise in half and neatly cut with a knife. Then fold and cut again until four bands for four tubes are obtained. After that, take the spoke and, applying it to the edge of the newspaper at a slight angle, begin to gently twist. Having screwed up to the end, on a corner put a drop of glue PVA, slightly pressing, take out a spoke and lay aside the turned out pipe before glue drying. When weaving, the tubes must be held in order to give them a designed shape. Weaving begins with small-sized products, eventually taking into account and evaluating all the features of the material.

From the newspaper tubes are often braided baskets and boxes, photo frames and holders for mugs, vases and wall panels. But the developed imagination makes it possible to use this material and the form of technology practically unlimitedly.

Quilling

Quilling - another popular type of needlework made of paper. It is a technique of twisting narrow long strips of paper in a spiral with the subsequent modification of them for composing flat or volumetric compositions.

Quilling is from Mediterranean Europe. This hobby is very common in America, England and Germany. It is also called "paper filigree". Despite this name, the technique makes it possible to make simple hand-made articles from paper even to a child. Spirals of paper in skillful hands turn into flowers and patterns used to decorate gift packages, man-made cards, albums, photo frames. Products made in the quilling technique are used both as wall decorations and even make jewelry out of them. This is a budget, beautiful and simple kind of needlework.

Quilling uses colored paper of special density. It is important that both sides and the cut itself are the same color, although sometimes for special effect use paper with two different colors on both sides of the sheet.

Sets of ready-made paper strips for quilling are sold in specialized stores, but you can cut strips yourself.

Facing

In this technique, you can make three-dimensional shapes and images from paper. For cutting, thin and soft paper is used, for example, corrugated paper. It cuts out small squares, which are then folded into cones or funnels. The top of this cone is smeared with glue and adhered to the substrate. Multicolored cones, glued to the base, create a voluminous and beautiful panel. So you can make a picture or a postcard, or you can create an interior topiary.

Iris Folding

This technique of paper creativity in Russia is not too common, but it has a rich history and unlimited possibilities for self-expression. In its essence, it is a technique for folding paper strips in such a way that their pattern resembles a twisting spiral. Drawing is laid out from colored paper or paper with a pattern, carefully choosing the shades to make it harmonious. On top of the resulting pattern covered with a frame - carved out of paper motif or silhouette. In the end, even a child will be able to make a light piece of paper - a beautiful panel or postcard.

Papier mache

Papier-mache - a simple and affordable technique with a huge potential for handicraft creativity. In this technique, caskets and boxes, vases and costume jewelry, theater props, dolls, figurines and animal figurines, toys, covers with paintings, embossing and varnishing are made. Made from papier-mâché, even interior decoration elements are made: from decorative panels for walls and doors to architectural stucco for walls and ceilings. The papier-mache frames, mirrors, candlesticks, and even furniture made in the papier-mache technique are distinguished by beauty and originality. However, even the lightest articles made of paper can be made with the help of this technique.

Papier-mache (French papier mâché) means "tanned or torn paper". The basis of papier-mâché is paper, which easily turns into a mass that can be molded. The composition of the mass is added glue, gypsum or starch.

Three techniques for making papier-mache products

The first way

A model of the product is prepared, which will need to be pasted with paper. It can be made of wood, clay, plasticine or gypsum. The model can be greased with glue and fixed under the layers of paper, and can be removed from the paper layer, for which it is previously coated with petroleum jelly. For the selected model, a torn wet paper is applied with the adhesive. Alternating a layer of paper with a layer of glue, glue in layers, the number of which can reach up to a hundred. Previously, for pasting, we used a starch-based paste, but now you can buy special glue. Pasting paper is called layer by layer.

The second way

The article is formed from liquid paper pulp, for which paper one day before it is planned to commence work, is cut or torn into pieces and soaked with hot water. After that, the soaked mass boils. Then the water is squeezed out, the pieces of paper are loosened and dried. The dry mass is mixed with chalk and gradually poured into it a special glue from a mixture of joinery glue and starch paste until a dough with a soft and plastic structure is formed. Such paper dough is poured into the mold or applied to the product.

The third way

For this type of papier-mache, you need solid cardboard and PVA glue. The method resembles the technology of manufacturing plywood. The model is made by gluing pieces of solid cardboard. After that, the cardboard is subjected to pressure, specialists use brackets and a stapler to fix the glued plates, or vice and clamps. Dried products shpatlyuyut, grind, primed, and then painted and varnished or stamping.

Thus, paper is one of the most universal, inexpensive and easy-to-use materials for creativity and needlework. You can make a light piece of paper, decorate life, transform the interior, make an original gift that resembles a work of art.
