Wanda Orchid - Features of Care

Orchid Vanda is probably the most beautiful of its kind. They all love the warmth, the most favorable for them is the temperature range in the vicinity of 22-30 degrees. If the temperature drops to 20 degrees, plants become susceptible to many diseases. Therefore, in order for the orchid to develop well and to please you with its flowering, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the indicated temperature indices.

Wanda - an orchid that loves light, for it there is no such thing as much light. But do not overdo it and at lunchtime you need to shade the plant a little. If there is a lack of light, it can be expressed in the absence of flowering and in the occurrence of diseases, so the light day should not be less than 12 hours.

The orchid-orchid Wanda also likes a lot of moisture. But here there are some nuances. If you spray flowers in a room with dry air, it will be uncomfortable for the plant and can even harm it. Therefore, the humidity should be stable at a level of 70% -90% and there should be no sharp changes.

Wanda Orchid - Care and Growth Features

In case the humidity in the room is low and you spray the plant, the temperature on its surface is significantly reduced, which overcoolens the plant and harms it. Therefore, Wanda should be sprayed with orchids only at a humidity of at least 70% (this must be constantly monitored).

Also, in order to make the Wanda orchid feel comfortable, the air in the room must constantly circulate, this is the key to the fact that the cervical decay does not occur. If the air stagnates, the cervix will start to rot, which leads to the death of the plant. Suspend this process only at the initial stages by washing the place of decay with copper chloride solution .

Thus, if you want to have a flowering and healthy plant, you must observe the lighting conditions, humidity and air circulation.

Orchid Vanda requires constant feeding, once a week it is recommended to apply a complex fertilizer in the amount of 1 gram per liter of water, and during the growth and development of buds one should add 1 gram of potassium monophosphate.

It is necessary to wash the plant at least once every two to three months. To do this, you must use water, which adds the juice of one lemon. Such a solution not only gives the orchid additional vitamins, but also has anti-epiphytic effect.

At night, the plant can not be sprayed, as this helps to develop a pathogenic microflora. If there is a need to treat Wanda with poisonous chemicals, this is done at lunch time, since it is then that plants are closed and less "poisoned".

Top dressing should be carried out, on the contrary, in the morning hours. In cases of an increase in the temperature in the room is more than 30 degrees, it is necessary to conduct lunch and spraying. For spraying, water is taken, the temperature of which should be 5 degrees above the ambient temperature. In cases of low humidity, after spraying, do not ventilate the room, as the plant will receive a cold burn.

If you see that the plant is weak and can not pull all the buds tied, it is recommended to remove the topmost ones that have not yet opened. Thus, you remove the load from the plant, and the buds will grow healthy and beautiful. If this is not done, then the top buds will still wither and fall off. But if you properly looked after your orchid and created favorable conditions for it, then it will please you with a dozen large beautiful buds on the same arrow and such a spectacle will delight any person.
