"Undertaker", Pushkin: A Brief History of the Tale

Prokhorov Adriaan finally realized his dream and moved to a long-liked house from Basmannaya Street to Nikitskaya Street. But the novelty frightens a man a little, and he is not particularly happy with the move. In order to show the commitment of the common man to the usual routine, he wrote the story "The Undertaker" Pushkin. A brief summary of her talks about the grim man of an unusual profession.

Acquaintance with new neighbors

Adrian Prokhorov worked as a coffin maker, his character fully corresponded to the profession, the man was unsociable, gloomy and uncommunicative. He was not interested in everyday problems, Adrian was sad after the move, as if he would not lose the client - the merchant Tryukhin, who was at death. People also wanted to highlight the nature of a man in the novel The Undertaker Pushkin. The summary says that Prokhorov was worried that the heirs of the rich woman would remember about him at the right time, and they did not agree with the contractor from Razgulay.

Adrian's sad reflections were interrupted by the visit of his shoemaker, Gottlieb Schulz, who decided to invite a new acquaintance to his place on the occasion of the silver wedding. Prokhorov with the German quickly found a common language and promised to come. The next day, the undertaker, along with his two daughters, went to visit the shoemaker. The usual festivities of ordinary artisans were also shown in the story "The Undertaker" Pushkin. The summary says that Prokhorov quickly got to know all the guests, drank and ate with them. The holiday went on as before, until the owner offered to drink to the health of those for whom they work. And then the baker suggested that Adrian drink for the health of his dead. Laughter arose, offending the undertaker.

Strange guests

Pushkin's Tale "Undertaker" comes to a climax at a time when drunk Prokhorov comes home. He is very angry with the Germans, who ridiculed him, because he considers his craft no worse than their work. In anger, a man tells his female employee that he would better invite the dead to a housewarming party than his neighbors. The woman advises him to cross himself, but Adrian does not listen to her.

The way in which we often express wishful thinking is shown in the story "The Undertaker" by Pushkin. The summary says that Prokhorov was picked up early in the morning, since the steward Truhina came with the message that the merchant had died and that Adrian's services were required. Undertaker went to Razgulay, there he spent all day in hassle, by the evening, having completed the business, the man walked home on foot.

Approaching the house, Prokhorov noticed that someone was entering his wicket, then someone else, vaguely familiar to the master, approached. And then Adrian with horror sees that to him the dead converge, whom he once buried. They all rushed to greet Prokhorov, one even managed to cuddle. The undertaker pushed him away, and the poor fellow immediately fell apart. The rest of the corpses did not like such a rude treatment, and they began to threaten Adrian, after which the master lost his senses.

Awakening

With the thought of how good it is that some events are a dream, Pushkin wrote "The Undertaker." The main characters are ordinary people with their own problems and worries. Prokhorov so worried about the loss of earnings and was angry with new acquaintances that he had a strange and somewhat terrible dream. A man woke up in the morning and, from the stories of the worker, realized that Tryukhina was not dying, but he had been asleep all the time after returning from the shoemaker. After that, the undertaker sighed with relief and ordered to put the samovar.
