General recommendations

Trichomonas, the treatment of which should be carried out by both partners simultaneously, very often develops in the absence of complaints and symptoms. Sexual life is forbidden at the time of taking medication or is allowed only with the use of condoms in order not to get infected again. At the time of treatment, it is necessary to exclude spicy, fried and salty foods, as well as alcohol to prevent the exacerbation of the infection caused by Trichomonas. Treatment provides for mandatory compliance with the basic rules of human hygiene: a daily shower with a change of underwear.

Medication Therapy

The basis of treatment consists of anti-trichomoniasis drugs belonging to the group of antibacterial agents, such as Metronidazole (Trichopol), Ornidazole, Tinidazole, Nimorazole, Tiberal, Nifuratel. The spectrum of medicines is wide enough, and the selection is carried out by a doctor individually. Be sure to adhere to the frequency of admission, the prescribed dosage and go through the entire course of antibiotic therapy, even if the symptoms disappeared on the 2-3rd day. Immunity also suffers if there is a trichomonas. Treatment is therefore not without immunomodulators and multivitamins: Vitrum, Centrum, Gendevit, Alphabet. These drugs activate the body's own forces to fight the pathogen. In addition to the general prescribe and local treatment:

  • Vaginal tablets "Metronidazole" or "Nitazol";
  • Drug "Aminitrosol" in the form of an aerosol;
  • Means "Macmyor Complex" in candles or in the form of a cream.

Also, preparations containing antioxidants and zinc, for example "Zinctal", are used. Physiotherapy helps to improve blood supply, nutrition of tissues, enhance metabolic processes and has anti-inflammatory effect. Inductothermy (KB-diathermy) is used.

Criteria for recovery

This is not only the absence of complaints and external manifestations, but also the absence of trichomonads in smears from the urethra and the vagina. The examination is performed three times at intervals of 1-1.5 months, and only if all three smears of the pathogen are absent, the infection is considered cured. With recurrent trichomoniasis, vaccination 3 times with an interval of 14-15 days with the vaccine "Solkotrihovak". It is very important to remember that immunity to this disease is not produced, and therefore, repeated infection is likely. Therefore, it is necessary to remember about the prevention of sexual infections and the possibility that there will be a trichomonas. Treatment must necessarily be comprehensive. It, as a rule, includes general as well as local therapy and is conducted only by specialists - dermatovenereologist or gynecologist. Only in this case it is possible to count on successful disposal of the infection.
