Kornik is considered to be a truly Russian dish. According to historical accounts, he was even served on the royal table. Ivan the Terrible himself was not averse to taste this delicacy. Do you want to please your relatives with such exquisite food? Then remember the recipe for the kurik.

Which dough to choose?

Each landlady has his own way of making this pie. Therefore, the dough can be chosen according to one's own taste. Try kneading a sour dough on a kurik, the recipe of which is very simple. The necessary products are always found in the refrigerator: eggs in the amount of 4 pieces, a glass of any fermented milk product (kefir, sour cream, curdled milk), butter, baking powder or soda, a pinch of salt and a couple of spoons of sugar.

Softened butter mixed with eggs and whisked well. Separately add kefir soda. If you use baking powder, then just add it to the flour. We combine kefir with the egg mixture, fall asleep sugar and salt. Next, we sift and pour in the flour. We knead a soft dough for consistency.

To make a kurik, you can use a yeast unleavened dough. Some young housewives are afraid to undertake such baking, but there is nothing complicated in it.

Prepare the following products:

  1. Eggs (2-3 pieces).
  2. A glass of milk.
  3. 50 grams of butter.
  4. Sugar (a few spoons).
  5. Salt.
  6. Dry yeast (10 grams).
  7. Flour (2 cups).

Pour the yeast with warm milk or water with added sugar to start the fermentation process. Wait for about 15 minutes until a dense foam cap forms. Eggs beat with milk, sugar and salt. Then add the yeast and oil to the mixture. Gently pour the sifted flour, stirring constantly. Knead not too tight a dough: such that the mass is well withdrawn from the hands. Remember that it should stand still for a couple of hours and it's good to get up.

And finally, the simplest option: if the recipe for cooking a kurik seems too complicated for you, then make it easier for yourself to purchase a ready-made puff pastry. It can be either yeast or not containing yeast. Before baking, make a few holes with a fork over the entire surface of the cake.

Recipe for cooking kurik in a royal way

Having decided with the test, start to prepare the filling. In the traditional curlin it is complex and multilayered.

You will need:

  1. Chicken (whole, separately thighs or fillets) - about 1 kilogram.
  2. 5 eggs.
  3. A little rice.
  4. Pancakes - 5 pieces.
  5. Green for your taste.
  6. Mushrooms (raw champignons or salted mushrooms).
  7. Salt pepper.

Boil the chicken until cooked, so that the meat is as soft as possible. If you chose raw mushrooms, then fry them with onions. Boil the eggs and rice. The latter does not lead to a full readiness, the groats should be slightly firm.

The recipe for cooking a kurik involves having pancakes. We will not dwell on the technology of frying pancakes in detail, because every landlady has his own way. However, try to make them thin, but strong.

We start to collect the pie. Divide the dough into two unequal parts. Smaller roll out and cut out a circle larger in size than pancakes. We put on a circle a pancake, and on it - finely chopped chicken. You can lubricate this layer with mayonnaise or sour cream for juiciness. Cover the chicken with the following pancake, to which we send a mixture of finely chopped greens, eggs (cut into cubes) and rice. And again the pancake, and then the stuffing of mushrooms. Then repeat the layer of chicken and cover with the last pancake. From the remaining test roll a large circle and cover our stuffing. The edges of the pie tightly tear.

If desired, you can make different decorations from the scraps of dough. In the upper layer, we make a deep cut almost to the depth of the curlin. In the hole, we will pour chicken broth to ensure that the pie is juicy.

The whole baking process at a temperature of 180 degrees will take no more than an hour. 15 minutes before the preparation, you can grease the surface with a yolk.
