Plot

Does melodrama have disadvantages?

Naturally, this melodrama is not dynamic as a new-fangled action blockbuster. Especially the first two-thirds of the narrative seem somewhat delayed. In addition, the whole part associated with the character Defoe, turned out to be drawn and clumsy. It was possible to come up with a more romantic move, an excuse to travel to distant Amsterdam, or otherwise develop the theme of your favorite book of the heroine. And for cinephiles with a particularly delicate, highly artistic taste, it may seem that the romanticism of a couple in love at times goes off scale and even balances on the verge of vulgarity. With a detailed study of the cast of "Blame the Stars" and "Divergent" films (the actors of the latter are just as young), you can find among the names of both Sheylin Woodley and Ensela Elgort, but they were not so bright and memorable there.
