The drug "Trichopol" is a drug that is designed to fight diseases caused by protozoan microorganisms, it has a wide spectrum of action, so it can be used to treat various diseases. Description of the drug "Metronidazole"

The drug is used to treat infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, urogenital and respiratory tract. The action of the drug is aimed at retention of the development of unicellular organisms. Medication also adversely affects microorganisms such as Entamoeba histolytica (dysentery amoeba), which cause inflammatory processes in the intestines and provoke ulcer diseases.

The drug has a fairly large field of application, but is most often used to treat infectious diseases of the genitourinary tract, the causative agent of which is the simplest organism of the trichomonas. The presence of lamblia in the intestine and gallbladder is also an indication for the use of the drug "Metronidazole". Also, the drug successfully fights against amoebic diseases, leishmaniasis. This analogue of "Trichopol" can be used in the fight against infections of the skin, joints, bone system. After surgery, the medication is used as an anti-inflammatory drug.

Application of the drug

In the case of parasitic infection, the drug "Metronidazole" is taken orally at meals or after it at a dosage of 1.5 g three times a day for seven days. Tablets should be taken without chewing, it is allowed to wash them with water. With giardiasis, the drug is prescribed three times a day in the amount of 750-1000 mg, the course of administration lasts five days. Treatment of anaerobic infections lasts 7-10 days, the medicine in this case is prescribed 400 mg three times a day. Trichomoniasis is treated with "Metronidazole" as follows: the medicine can be prescribed once in a dosage of 2 g, or the patient is prescribed a ten-day course of the drug at 250 mg twice a day. In the postoperative period, to prevent complications, 1 gram of medication is prescribed within the first 24 hours after the operation, then the drug is taken at 200-250 mg three times a day for seven days. If the infectious disease has a severe form, then the medication is administered intravenously.

Contraindications

Many believe that the drug "Trichopol" is an antibiotic, although in fact it is not, it simply has a similar mechanism of action on bacteria. From contraindications it is possible to note the following: it is impossible to take the medicine in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, it is contraindicated for people who have CNS damage, diseases of the hematopoietic system and liver. The drug should also not be taken to women during the initial stage of pregnancy (first trimester) and during lactation. This is due to the fact that the components of the drug can penetrate into the mother's milk. During the course of treatment should not drink alcohol.
