The biggest "Children's World" in Moscow - for the joy of children and adults

A visit to a children's store can cause delight not only in children, but also in adults. An incredible number of toys, clothes and stationery - moms and dads, too, want to plunge into a world of abundance, which they were partially deprived of as a child.

Those who are already 30 years old, still remember the cherished "Children's World" - the only network of children's stores in the country. The first branch was opened in 1947 as part of the Central Department Store on Myasnitskaya Street.

№1 in the USSR

The largest "Children's World" in Moscow opened its doors in June 1957. This is a huge seven-story building on the Lubyanka (Dzerzhinskaya) Square. Construction lasted four years. The author of the project was a talented architect Alexei Dushkin.

For finishing works, only the best and durable materials were chosen: white and colored marble, bronze, cast iron, rare oak and ash. Stair rails, lighting devices and other interior details were made according to the author's drawings.

The first three floors were given to the largest factories and plants of the USSR for the production of children's goods - there were stands with the best samples of products. However, the greatest delight from the small visitors was caused by a magnificent clock-hut and carousel.

Central House of Music in Lubyanka

Unfortunately, in the 90s the largest "Children's World" in Moscow was privatized, but the assortment was still focused on children. Nine years ago, the owners of the building began a large-scale reconstruction. The grand opening took place at the end of March 2015, but this store has nothing to do with the legendary network "Detsky Mir".

"Central Children's Shop on Lubyanka" is the new name of the next shopping center where you can buy goods for kids and schoolchildren, have a snack in the restaurant yard, visit the observation deck on the roof or the "Museum of Childhood".

Heritage

Today the rating of the best children's shops in Moscow is headed by "the very same" Children's World. " In 1996, the new owners of the network became AFK Sistema, which continues the traditions of the legendary Soviet brand.

Clothes for boys and girls, strollers and furniture for kids, all kinds of toys - among the partners of the store are only the best Russian and foreign producers.

It should be noted that the splendid structure on the Lubyanka Square, where the largest Children's World was located in Moscow and the USSR, also belonged to AFK Sistema before the 2008 crisis . But because of financial considerations, he had to sell. However, the real network "Children's World" also did not remain without the flagship store.

On Vozdvizhenka

A little over a year ago, the management decided to rent the building of the former "Voentorg" for ten years. Now to the question, where in Moscow is the largest "Children's World", it is quite easy to answer. Address: Vozdvizhenka, 10.

The new place is in no way inferior to the former, because the trade area is more than seven thousand square meters. The building of the former department store "Voentorg" was also thoroughly reconstructed, more precisely, built anew. A modern shopping and office center has appeared on the historical site, where the biggest "Children's World" in Moscow has been located recently.

Shopping and entertainment

Besides the huge assortment presented on several floors of the children's hypermarket, there are many entertainments for young visitors inside:

- Places for drawing on a board or paper;

- game zones for boys (pirate ship), girls (castle for princesses) and kids;

- Delicious milkshakes.

The figures of the heroes from "Well, wait!" And "Teenage Mutant Ninja", huge cars, constructions from the Lego constructor, planes and balloons under the ceiling and even a colorful life-sized helicopter - the designers tried to create a real fairy tale for children.

On one of the floors there is even a carousel, which acts as an element of decor. Ride on it, unfortunately, can not. But if you want to remember your childhood, then go to another "Children's World", located in the shopping center "Mega Belaya Dacha". There, just before the entrance to the store, there is a real carousel, which all Moscow remembers. The biggest "Children's World" in the Lubyanka remained in the past, but the merry-go-round, on which thousands of Soviet kids ridden, like a thread, connects us.

Not one step back

Today, the Detsky Mir network includes 296 stores that are open in the cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. In addition, the group of companies "Detsky Mir" has acquired an equally popular children's market - "ELC - the center of early development."

Many interesting events are held in the stores. Most recently, in the "Children's World" on Vozdvizhenka, a master class on sand drawing was held under the guidance of teachers from the SandPRO studio. Everyone could participate in the contest and regardless of the result received a 25% discount for attending classes in the "magic" studio.

Virtual world

Sometimes modern moms and dads are so busy that there is not time to go shopping. Like most large companies, Detsky Mir actively develops on the Web. Toys and products for children in the online store "Children's World" can be ordered 24 hours a day. Of course, the choice is slightly more modest than in retail stores. However, there are also advantages:

- Shares and discounts for certain brands.

- Special offers from partners (for example, "Thank you" from Sberbank).

- Detailed description of goods and real photos.

- Fast order processing.

- Free delivery for orders over 2500 rubles.

- Payment by plastic card or cash courier.

The ELC brand also has its own Internet market, where you can make purchases without leaving your home. By the way, the most experienced designers and psychologists participate in the development of developing toys, but the children themselves remain the best consultants anyway.
