The amazing art of origami: animals. Models for beginners

One of the most interesting and unique forms of creativity is the production of paper figures without the help of scissors and glue - the Japanese art of origami. Animals, birds, fish and little people from ordinary colored paper or a banal notebook are easily recognizable and can serve as children's toys, as well as wonderful souvenirs or wonderful additions to a gift for a friend.

Everything is not so simple in origami: animals and other figures can even move or perform practical tasks - for example, store small items in their bowls or pockets (candy, beads, seeds). Try to make the original model with your own hand - and almost certainly you will be fascinated with this fashionable and popular hobby from the very first.

How to make a horse

• To fold a nice horse out of paper, take a square sheet and spread it on the table with the colored side up. Fold the sheet in half, bend the crease and turn it back, then bend it in the opposite direction.
• Turn the paper upside down. Fold the sheet in half, bend the crease and repeat the steps in the opposite direction. Folds must form four lines.
• Using the folds, grab the top three corners of the square and drag them to the fourth, bottom corner. Press and flatten the model.
• Pull the outer corners of the top layer of paper to the center line, then fold the top down and bend well, then unfold the model.

Shutdown

• Cut the center line to the top fold on the top layer.
• Pull the "legs" upward, following the intended folds. Thus, many figurines of animals are added. Origami is built on a single system of paperwork.
• Fold the resulting sections in half towards the center.
• Turn over the model and repeat the previous steps until you have a kind of tick tick.
• Turn the model upside down and bend the "wings", then unfold.
• Unbend the tips of the "wings". Now it's the head and tail of the horse. The figurine is ready.

Seated dog

If you are fond of origami, animals of this level may seem like an easy task for you. However, despite the seeming simplicity of the process, in the end, a very realistic figure is obtained, which can be added to plausibility using brown textured paper.

Beginning of work

• Prepare a paper square and spread it on the table in the form of a diamond with the wrong side up. Fold in two from right to left.
• Leave the sheet and make the pockets towards the center line.
• Fold it in half.
• Bend the fragment of the model approximately in the part where the middle of the figure should be. It's quite simple to take origami. Animals made in this way can take on the appearance of dogs, wolves or foxes.

How to make a model

• Using a fold, flip and secure the crease on the opposite side. Re-bend and unfold.
• To make a nose, bend the model twice, then unfold each crease inside.
• Bend the folds inside again.
• Well iron all the folds. Repeat the steps above at the bottom of the figure to make a tail.
• The lower part of the tail on both sides hide under the body of the animal.

The sitting dog is ready.

Mouse

If you are just beginning to understand the origami, light animals will be an ideal choice for you. There is nothing easier than to fold a mouse, cat or dog from a standard paper box, but you should keep in mind that in this case you will make only the head of the selected beast. The simplest example is the mouse's head.

• Take a square sheet of paper, put it on a table in the shape of a diamond and bend it in half from the top corner to the bottom.
• Pull the right corner to the center of the resulting triangle, slightly not reaching the line.
• Push back a part of the new part so that the end corner is facing up. This is the mouse ear.
• Wrap the bottom fragment of the model under the "head" of the animal.
• It remains only to finish the eye and nose. Done.

Based on these simple figures, you can independently invent new animal models. The scope for creativity is unlimited, and all you need is paper.
