Teenager Psychology

Teenage psychology is often called the most contradictory, rebellious, unstable. And not without reason, because in this period a person is already coming out of childhood, but still does not become an adult. He looks into his inner world, learns a lot about himself, develops critical thinking, does not want to listen to anyone, his essence rebels.

Transitional age, its signs

The psychology of adolescence and adolescence is difficult to explain. During this period, the child begins to actively develop hormones, mainly the thyroid and pituitary gland. The blood of a teenager is oversaturated by them, because of this, children are significantly added in growth and they have the first signs of an adult.

In boys, this process begins at 13-15 years. They significantly increase in growth, the hairline on the face and body increases. And also teenage psychology opens at them the first signs of a sexual maturity. They have an erection, in connection with which there is a strong interest in the opposite sex and a kind of sexuality. In girls, this period begins two years earlier. Its manifestations: an increase in growth, uneven body formation, an increase in the hairline, as well as female signs of puberty (the months begin and the breast grows).

It is noteworthy that the growth in adolescents is uneven. First the head grows, then the extremities: the feet and hands, then the hands, the legs, and the last one gives in to the torso. Because of this, the teenager's figure looks awkward.

Psychology of adolescents

Characterizing the adolescent age, psychology identifies two types of crisis in "single adults". It is a crisis of independence and lack of independence.

The crisis of independence is characterized by:

- stubbornness;

- rudeness;

- an expression of one's own opinion;

- Rebellion;

- the desire to solve problems.

The crisis of non-self-sufficiency is:

- falling into childhood;

- humility;

- unwillingness to decide anything independently;

- craving for parents;

- lack of will.

The crisis of self-dependence brings much worse consequences than it seems at first glance, because the main new formation that a teenager acquires during this period is independence. Only adolescent psychology accepts communication as a leading activity. That is why children try to spend more time with their peers. They often change their authority and many new friends. The psyche of this is no longer a child, but not yet an adult quite unstable. It is during this period that he tries to know himself, deepens into his inner world, while before he knew only the external. It becomes quite contradictory, requires from other exact answers, from the world - clarity. And if the teen does not get it, then he rebels, he can laugh now, and a minute later cry. Because of a misunderstanding of the world, his mood often changes. Everything that happens to him, the child treats from the negative side, because of what often falls into the deepest depression. Teenage psychology keeps statistics, according to which a person often does not see a way out of situations, feels like an unnecessary world, so most of the suicides occur at this age.
