What is the tank equipment and why is it needed? Let's try to figure it out.

To begin with, it is necessary to determine what a reservoir is and why it is needed. The tank is a metal container (vertical or horizontal type) intended for receiving, storing and dispensing liquid and gaseous media. Any tank, depending on the type of stored product, for the protection and safe use of internal contents, as well as for the protection of the environment, is completed with the necessary (according to the draft for the tank system) set of obkvechnogo equipment, which is called reservoir specialists. By its nature, the tank equipment is a subtype of oil and gas equipment and is determined by a set of devices and installations, the functional basis of which is to ensure safe and trouble-free operation of the reservoir system as a whole. An important feature of this equipment is that it can be used in other industries (besides oil and gas), within its operating characteristics (for example, in alcoholic beverage production).

What concerns the type of equipment in question? First of all, it is:

- respiratory devices: breathing valves of various types (KDS, KDM, KPG, NDKM, SMDK, etc.) - regulate the pressure in the tank within the specified limits;

- samplers of types of SDP, PSRL, PSP, PSPP, etc. - allow to sample the product at a given height of the tank;

- Hlopushki KP and their control mechanisms MUV, MU-1 and MU-2 - prevent product losses when the technological pipelines are broken and / or the locking devices placed on them fail;

- ventilating branch pipes and peripheral PVP - ensure the ventilation of the reservoir;

- siphon taps KS - designed for carrying out operations of draining / pouring the product from the tank / into the tank;

- manholes (measuring LZ, LL, light lasers) and branch pipes (mounting PM, receiving and dispatching PPR) - auxiliary equipment, usually products intended for installation of the above types of tank equipment, or providing access to the inside of the tank.

- devices for erosion of bottom sediments of reservoirs - Dolphin, Typhoon, etc.

There are several Russian manufacturers of tank equipment on the market. In addition, a number of firms offer tank equipment of foreign brands. So which one to choose and which one is better? In our opinion, it is better to use equipment from Russia that is manufactured taking into account Russian climatic conditions and operating characteristics, in accordance with GOSTs and technical documentation of the Russian Federation. One of the mandatory conditions is availability of certificates of compliance and permits of Rostekhnadzor. It should also pay attention to the choice of large oil corporations - Transneft, Lukoil, Rosneft, etc. (They do not use second-rate products).
