This slightly rounded surface is in stark contrast to the concave, with an edge structure, typical of non-wear resistant materials.

Filled PTFE is one of the few polymers from which elements of centrifugal pumps can be made . The advantage of the latter in comparison with analogues of metal (with facing insulated coating) is to eliminate the difference in the values of the thermal expansion of the lining and the metal. Distributors, redistributors and seals - internal reinforcement - are also protected by applying fluoropolymer compounds.

From fluoroplastic blanks are made membranes, gaskets and sealing rings, the operation of which does not actually require preventive and emergency maintenance. In contrast to various composites with a concave microstructure, the rings and bushings of PTFE do not wear out by shearing, which preserves the stability of minimum friction. In addition, the strength and reliability of certain joints, gaps and lap fasteners can only be provided by the FUM tape, which is made of a fluoroplastic harness to seal the hydraulic connections.
