Symptoms of tuberculosis: know to warn!

One of the terrible social diseases is tuberculosis. Even at the beginning of the Soviet era, the Bolsheviks posed the first question - the eradication of tuberculosis, which would indicate a healthy society. Unfortunately, tuberculosis is rampant in many countries.

Tuberculosis is not only difficult for the sick person, but also gives a high mortality rate. At the same time the disease is very contagious - it can be "picked up" anywhere, without even knowing it. Most of all, people with low living standards, asocial elements are affected by tuberculosis, but quite well-off residents are not immune from this terrible disease. In connection with the prevalence of tuberculosis, the diversity of its species and the need for a separate careful study, a separate direction in medicine - phthisiology was singled out.

The causative agent of tuberculosis, Koch's wand, is very variable. The pathogen lives in moist places, where the sun's rays do not get much. It is dangerous that Koch's wand is active for some time in the discharge of tuberculosis patients. It is difficult to destroy by medical preparations, but it is even more difficult to detect. It is for the speedy diagnosis of tuberculosis at an early stage that doctors recommend that a fluorographic examination be conducted at least once a year, which gives a high probability of talking about the absence or presence of tuberculosis.

Since you can actually get tuberculosis from birth, the children are given special vaccinations in the maternity hospital, and then from time to time they check the level of the body's resistance to tuberculosis (Mantoux test).

Symptoms of tuberculosis are not difficult to diagnose - they are quite typical. The first signs of tuberculosis are fever, fever. The patient becomes susceptible to various diseases, especially catarrhal, since immunodeficiency is very severe in tuberculosis. Psychologically, the patient is difficult to bear the disease - such patients are either too irritated or too apathetic to what is happening. The mood can often change, moving from depression to euphoria. Symptoms of tuberculosis in adults are more noticeable than in children. Those who become ill with tuberculosis feel hot flashes, excessive sweating, and a rapid heartbeat. As a rule, the phase of exacerbation is also characterized by digestive disorders - the patients lose their appetite, nausea appears. When the disease passes into an easier phase, these symptoms of tuberculosis may disappear. But, nevertheless, a constant companion of a tuberculosis patient is a cough - with sputum or dry sputum. Usually sputum is light, but if there is an infection with the development of a purulent discharge, the sputum will be greenish-yellow. Since the cough is long, then with a coughing cough reflex, the walls of the capillaries can burst and blood appears in the sputum. Sometimes the blood is present because of the rupture of the capillaries in the lungs and bronchi themselves - this happens with a prolonged coughing. Vocal cords are thinned, patients with tuberculosis suffer from hoarse voices, rales in conversation, characteristic whistles.

As the pulmonary tissue irreversibly changes, it melts, then it ceases to fulfill its immediate function - to participate in the respiratory process. Because of this, patients have symptoms of tuberculosis, such as: shortness of breath, lack of oxygen in breathing. Lack of oxygen also affects the heart muscle - it weakens its work.

If you know the symptoms of tuberculosis, the disease can be suspected at an early stage and rather seek medical help. This will help cure tuberculosis quickly and with minimal negative consequences for the body.
