The concept of "parking and stopping"

These terms are described in the SDA. A stop is a planned stoppage of traffic, for up to five minutes, or for an undefined but connected with landing / disembarkation of people or loading / unloading a car. The definition is simple and kind of understandable. Parking and stop is allowed

• On a specially designated territory. It is indicated by road signs - "Parking lot", "Resting place", "Taxi parking place".
• In the city on the right along the roadside road. That is necessarily behind the road marking line. It should be on your left.

• On the road, where traffic is carried out only in one direction, in the city a stop and parking are allowed on both sides of the road. They must be done on the sidelines. That is, you have the right to perform O / S on both the left and right sides. Both options are legal and permissible.

• On a one-way road , in a city for lack of a curb, the vehicle can run the R / S on the left side of the sidewalk, which is directly adjacent to the edge. If it is behind green plantations or is absent, then these maneuvers are prohibited. On the right edge of this paragraph SDA does not work.
• In a city on a two-lane carriageway, O / S are allowed on both sides of the road. An obligatory condition is the absence of tram ways in the middle.

Stopping and parking is prohibited.

In order not to get a fine or a warning, it is inadmissible to stop moving:

• In places where the power of signs "O / S is prohibited", "Parking is prohibited for even / odd numbers", as well as markings.
• You can not leave your car if it is less than three hundred centimeters (3 m) from it to a solid line.
• Parking and stop are prohibited at the pedestrian crossing and at a distance of fifteen meters from it in both directions. However, there is an exception to this rule. You can stop at a pedestrian crossing before the crossroads. That is, the moment you expect a traffic light signal.
• At the crossroads, including 15 meters from its edge. In residential areas, this is permissible. • At stops of route vehicles, as well as a distance equal to fifteen meters in both directions from them. Passengers can be boarded / disembarked in these places, but with one condition - this should not become a hindrance.
• On bridges, overpasses, tunnels, overpasses and other things.

• In both directions from the railway crossing, as well as directly on it.
• On steep bends and sections of the road with limited or insufficient visibility. That is, places where the visibility is less than one hundred meters.
• On a two-lane road, if a car is already installed on the opposite side. Thus, if the machine is to be viewed from above, the machines must stand in staggered order.
• On the tram tracks, and also near them.
• On the territory where by its dimensions the vehicle will not allow traffic signals or traffic signs to be seen by other traffic participants. For the most part this rule applies to large trucks.
• On sidewalks, pedestrian and bicycle paths. However, there are exceptions. Communal vehicles, cars with a white inclined strip on the sides, vehicles servicing trade and other organizations located in the immediate vicinity of the sidewalk are allowed to violate this paragraph of the Rules.
• On flower beds, lawns and other green plantations.
• In the residential area, on the drive in the courtyard from the side of developments. That is, near the entrances. Such a parking or stop will not allow ambulances, fire trucks and other services to arrive at the scene of an emergency.
• At the gate of the garages.
• Close to the service entrance / exit from the shops and other organizations through which the reception / delivery is carried out.
• In places where the car becomes a hindrance to utilities, operational vehicles and so on.
• On the left side of the road. Exceptions are described above.

Stop allowed

It is impossible to move continuously. Either way, there will be a need for a stop. Therefore, every driver should know the places where it is not prohibited.

According to the traffic rules, a stop is allowed everywhere in the village. The exceptions are the situations described above. It is also permissible to stop at a pedestrian crossing in front of the intersection. That is, while waiting for its turn to travel.
